I had this piece of music that was very vivid in my dream and I was even able to remember it and play it. It was intensely emotional and the few people I played it for felt the same, but then I forgot to record it and now can't quite remember exactly how it went... I always think of the monks that create elaborate pieces of art out of sand and then destroy them as soon as they finish when that happens

I still found the idea that I could literally dream up a piece of music (the visuals of the dream are still very clear for me, and I rarely remember dreams) and wake up and play it. There is an episode of the podcast Radio Lab that centers around this man that wrote a play (I think) solely using ideas that came to him in dreams
