in the future the term superwholock will cause headaches for a whole different reason

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on who you ask), its unlikely that homestuck will have had enough of a cultural impact to be studied in the future

I'm not a fan of either but would be more likely to come up with a homestuck quote than a doctor who one

I mean that might depend on where youre from

I don't care about the actual game itself because it's VR, but I do care that it shows that valve will still look at the franchise if there's money to be had

dusky cairn

I mean money is the one thing Valve are still passionate about

dusky cairn
#

I think they are pretty passionate about new tech, especially VR

#

two VR headsets
AR glasses in the works with Apple (not confirmed but still)

hasty kernel
#

Well the cynical side of me would say now that that is because VR is an emerging technology likely to make a lot of money, and getting into the niche early helps setting up a strong position if not a monopoly

#

But I suppose they might care about new tech in general

analog spear
#

Ive predicted that the next HL game would be vr just because the time gap was so large I figured they must have been waiting for something technology wise to release it

upbeat scroll
#

has there really been no big advancements between half life 2 and vr?

#

i guess i can see it

hasty kernel
#

There has certainly been but

#

Well Valve weren't big on making games for a long time

#

They're more on the "hire other studios for their games" bandwagon

upbeat scroll
#

got a guess as to why they switched back?

hasty kernel
#

I mean I don't, it made them a lot of money

#

Maybe they just ran out of studios to buy

dusky cairn
#

Well they basically merged Campo Santo into the main studio, so it's technically Valve working on The Valley of Gods (if the rumors that it is now shelved are not true). I guess they needed some fresh blood and they got some new ideas too.
They were also pretty open about how they need to work on hardware first until they are satisfied with the level of technology and then they can work on something new. Now you could believe it or not obviously. And they are still maintaining Steam, DotA, CS, Underlords, TF (okay not really) with a pretty small team by AAA standards. And there was Artifact too... and they are reworking it.

wide ember
#

Valve is making so much money right now that they can keep making money either way, so it's great that they choose to work on Alyx

@swift quarry USB mics are generally terrible, but audiotechnica is a decent enough brand. If windows 10 users are giving it bad reviews, it might have driver compatibility issues. May be better to wait for a newer model or look for a newer mic from a different company

small loom

🤢

north hamlet
#

No personal experience with them though

hexed hollow
#

depends on your budget as to what would be best, XLR is ideal but usually costs more to set up initially
Blue yeti is good on a budget, but their are better usb mics our their now as the yeti is really a "jack of all trades, master of none"
AT2020 is a good solid XLR mic and I've heard good things about the USB version of it
https://musiccritic.com/equipment/microphones/best-usb-microphones-under-100/

small loom
#

I love XLR mics, but cheap audio interfaces for them can be temperamental. The cheapest I'd go is a focusrite 2i2 scarlett generation 2 or 3, and those run about 150 USD. Having one opens up a lot of options, though, for mics, headphones and instruments that usb ports alone won't give you.

#

And yeah the yeti is affordable and flashy looking but it sounds like ass in recordings

#

They make good travel mics for groups in a room and such (they pick up ambient noise and voice around the room better) but that's about it

#

Yeti is 100 USD. For half that you could get an Antlion Modmic Uni that connects with a 3.5mm port, clips to headphones and sounds infinitely better

swift quarry
#

Thanks everyone 😊 I’m definitely not going USB. Not worth the risk for this much money. XLR it is!

small loom
#

Rode may be worth checking out in that instance. Rode NT1A is a popular model and is on sale/bundled with free stuff often

#

It's a solid mic.

#

Oh. One thing to keep in mind with USB audio interfaces is that if you plan on using them to drive headphones (with a 1/4" jack connection) some headphone manufacturers offer multiple versions of models with different levels of impedence. The higher the impedence, generally the better the response of the drivers (speakers). Most headphones are 32 ohm impedence and a usb interface can push that around all day with no issues. After 100 ohms or so, headphones may run quieter than expected. 500-600 ohms are meant for huge interfaces in studios and the like.

I had a 600 ohm Beyerdynamic DT990pro and the Focusrite 2i2 could barely drive it. At full volume it was at a healthy audiobook listening volume. :'V

lusty ridge

Red and the Kid, with their variety of abilities, both really have potential for Smash characters.

I think Zag would be a bit like Shulk, being able to modify his base abilities by switching through different forms (Gods)

rose girder

I already have a moveset for Red in Smash, even a stage idea

faint panther

If it's not the Empty Set...

small loom

Bastion's Kid would be an easy pick for Smash, though Red's turn-based system might make for some intricate Ultimate abilities

#

Pause time and chain up some hairbrained combo to absolutely wreck someone with the right rhythym

velvet fjord
#

red would be my choice, but I'd still scream and break something if anyone from sgg got in

hasty kernel
#

I think red has more striking visuals, so Id also vote for her

velvet fjord
#

Plus we already have a hammer boy in the form of King Dedede, we don't have a semi-magic USB sword (unless you count shulk)

small loom
#

Kid is more than his hammer, it's just his oldest friend.

#

The machete and pike were my favorites, to be honest. Flexibility's his strongpoint as far as Smash viability.

serene tulip
#

Rivals of Aether has custom workshop characters...

#

We could make these for that.

ionic viper
#

as long as either a taunt or her victory pose would be the sword-hug animation

serene tulip
#

Also rivals of Aether has superior movement and combo game than ultimate.

#

Mr. Dan Fornace was all, "hey, what if we took melee and made the combo game better" then turned it completely furry.

velvet fjord
#

the hammer is the kid's iconic weapon though, and if they gave him anything it'd definitely be that

#

I never really got into Aether like I did with Ultimate

serene tulip
#

I mean, it's really only good if you have folks around your preferred difficulty to play with.

small loom
#

You can have multiple weapons in smash

#

I'd expect a ton of them in the move set.

#

Side-smash is cael hammer, up-special-aerial is war machete spin, side special is repeater volley, static special is breaker's bow snipe, etc

#

Maybe even a mode switch for switching to specific weapons to color the moveset

#

Ultimate: either Kid whips put the battering ram and sends people flying, or the Calamity Cannon rips up/damages the battlefield and pieces of it drop on contact, temporarily. :V

north hamlet
#

i'd either make all basic attacks hammer or all smashes hammer

I only played the first game (all episodes) but i didnt like it

I didnt like the writing at all, idk

wide ember
#

I loved Life is Strange until the ending, I hated the ending

#

But the story before that were very relatable and well-written

north hamlet
#

the execution and quality of the game is overall good

#

whether you like the writing is personal preference

wide ember
#

I’ve been in those situations before, so the story was very relatable

north hamlet
#

i thought it was decent but it leans a lot on you identifying with max and acting like you are her, which i don't really like

wide ember
#

Oh, I did not identify with max at all

#

I wanted to reach into the screen and slap max a few times

#

I liked the writing because I had people like Victoria, Nathan and Kate in my life, and also some others

#

I didn’t feel that I had to be Max, just be in her shoes

north hamlet
#

the secondary characters are great

wide ember
#

the contrast between how the secondary characters act between the main timeline and the modified timeline was very impressive

#

Max can only do so little trying to be good, yet one man with no superpower can ruin so many lives and minds being evil in his own corner

#

Then the ending makes you undo a major good you worked on for days

hasty kernel
#

Oh well, just gonna keep at it until I suck less

north hamlet
#

The back eye isn't level with the other

#

Because of the curvature of the face it'll also often be slightly higher

#

And the collars of button up shirts go crazy high

#

A stiffened collar with a tie will cover like half the neck

#

Although if you go for less buttoning up that will change

#

Otoh the colours and shading look pretty good

#

Arm is a little on the short side, unless perspective weirdness (it's receding into the background) is active

#

Most of the time arms end about where the bottom of the pelvis is

hasty kernel
#

Alright, that makes sense

#

Maybe it really is just the arm

north hamlet
#

The shoulder slope is a bit like how the eyes go, although that will change depending on what leg has weight on it

hasty kernel
#

Alright, Ill keep it in mind for next time

#

Thanks

#

Don't forget I'm not a real artist or especially good at anatomy and perspective and there is a non-zero chance I could be wrong about these things

small loom
#

Something's always bothered me

#

Does Bastion have anything at all to do with Braid?

#

I always got some eery vibes between the two

#

I don't think Number None had anything to do with Supergiant, but still

wide ember
#

Bastion and Braid both have this “are you the hero or the monster” thing going on, and good art

small loom
#

And the True Ending of Braid has some plot parallels I guess

wide ember
#

...is Zulf the princess of Bastion

small loom
#

Nah. Tim from Braid travels a broken world trying to pick up the pieces, only to realize he at one point had his hands in the creation of a weapon of mass destruction and is responsible for countless deaths. (Think the Caels splitting the Old World with The Calamity)

#

It's pretty dark.

#

The princess was the successful firing of the trinity test bomb.

#

Thinking forward, he tries to discover how to make the project work. Thinking backward, he tries to remember how it all went wrong and how to stop it. But it's an exercise in futility. Because the past cannot be changed and once certain things are set in motion, they are stuck in their course.

#

Or at least, that's my take on it.

wide ember
#

there were so many things made in chem labs, but the most memorable ones include the aspirin I tried to smuggle out, soap (that was a failure...) and cottage cheese (that most did not dare to eat)

everything else had the titration pipe's memory overshadow the memory of the actual solution

serene tulip
#

Right?

wide ember
#

that or fumbling over the not always stable gaz burners

but the titration pipe was the worst only because the support was very flimsy and the pipe was very tall and fragile, and now and then somebody adjusts it too hard and the whole pipe falls and shatters

hasty kernel
#

If it has backwards compatibility

#

Also Persona is hit or miss in that regard

#

There are questionable elements

faint panther
#

Oh.

nova depot
#

if I don't play persona, I don't play persona

#

slightly disappointing, but I'll live

hasty kernel
#

Id say that overall Persona is still really good

#

And its Persona 4 that has them the most

#

So Id recommend 3 or 5

#

Even though I like 4's cast the most

nova depot
#

hnnn playstation line exclusives tho

faint panther
#

I'll never not be upset that FromSoft released every Dark Souls game for multiple consoles but Bloodborne only came out on PS4.

hasty kernel
#

There were enough games for the PS4 that I wanted for me to get one, but it is pricy

#

Man now that I think about it, Persona 3 feels like it had the weakest cast of the 3

raven harbor
#

I don't like how certain arcs of P4's cast were handled

#

P3 seemed all around more solid in that aspect

hasty kernel
#

Thats how I would put it yeah

#

Id say the overally story is more compelling in P4 though, and the characters are generally stronger

wide ember
#

I feel like p4 was the weakest in handling the characters, and kicking a guy between the legs for breaking a CD during his bike accident was not cool

raven harbor
#

The characters were good but the arcs were bad

hasty kernel
#

I mean it wasnt cool, but given that its Yosuke ...

#

I dont like Yosuke

raven harbor
#

I mean yeah Yosuke sucks in general

wide ember
#

The strongest part of p4 was how humanity’s biggest issue was not some external invasion, but internal foggy apathy

hasty kernel
#

As for Persona 3, its characters didnt really leave much of an impression on me

#

I could tell you what Junpeis and Shinjiros deal is

#

Thats about it

raven harbor
#

Clear bottom tier of the best friend trope compared to Ryuji and Junpei

wide ember
#

Yosuke sucks but I still felt that the abuse other characters did to him was not funny

hasty kernel
#

Persona 3 had strong side characters though

#

I loved the shady businessman

wide ember
#

Not that what some of things he did was okay either

#

It was good to show various flaws but having the narrative condemn some would be better

hasty kernel
#

Oh and I liked Persona 4s villain

#

Even if the fact ||that theyre supposed to be unsympathetic kinda got lost on people||

raven harbor
#

I really liked where P3 went when it came to that

#

But yeah just, really not a fan of a couple of arcs in 4, really ruined the rest of it for me

hasty kernel
#

For me its only really one arc

#

||Kanjis||

#

Though ||Rises|| was not great exactly

raven harbor
#

For me it was ||Naoto's|| and how that subsequently kind of dumpstered ||Kanji's||

hasty kernel
#

See, the thing is, I got back to it recently, and I actually kinda like ||Naotos|| arc

#

I think I just misjudged the context before

raven harbor
#

If they had made it more clear what the context was supposed to be in the first place, it would be fine

#

But it really leaned one specific way and then felt like it turned a totally different way

faint panther
#

And not in a good plot twisty kinda way?

#

In Bastion, finding out ||the Calamity was Caelondia's doing|| made me completely dumpster ||using the Bastion to reset the world.||

#

But it didn't leave a bad taste in my mouth.

raven harbor
#

If you don't mind spoilers, it came across like ||an exploration of transgender identity|| and swung into ||turns out it was more of a Mulan situation|| which felt worse than I feel like I can word out

#

Like I said, if they had been more clear with the direction they wanted to lean than I think it would have been fine. It doesn't help that it also affected ||Kanji's|| arc by having ||him go gee, this guy I have a crush on is actually a girl, phew glad I'm not gay!||

#

Which uh, as someone who has been in a very similar situation, sucked to have that familiar representation ripped out under me

faint panther
#

Japan has a pretty atrocious track record for this entire spectrum, honestly.

#

Is it better or worse when I can honestly say "Yeah, I'm not surprised Atlus handled that poorly."

hasty kernel
#

See, the thing is that to me, it came down to how ||Shadows|| were framed. Theyre elements the person in question is suppressing and effectively trying to ignore. Given that ||Naoto was already presenting as masculine if Im using the terminology correctly (correct me if Im not)||, that wouldnt have made much sense with her ||Shadow||

#

So the true meaning of ||Naoto struggling in a male-dominated field that is not exactly kind to her due to both her age and gender|| makes more sense

#

I do agree on the ||Kanji|| bit though

raven harbor
#

My biggest issue is that her ||Shadow specifically name-drops gender reassignment surgery||, which in the context of everything else that was being presented, I think really could have been handled a different way

hasty kernel
#

Does she? I only recall it being called ||the genome project and "bodily alteration procedure"||

raven harbor
#

To be clear, I watched the shows, so it may not be quite that explicit in the game

hasty kernel
#

Oh yeah

#

Its not

raven harbor
#

But those also seem fairly explicit

hasty kernel
#

||Hell the shadows dialogue actually talks more about the age part||

faint panther
#

||"Bodily alternation procedure" in the context of Naoto's character is gender reassignment.||

hasty kernel
#

||Or more accurately, only about the age part||

#

||Yeah, I looked the cutscenes up again, the fact that naoto is a girl only comes up after the shadow is defeated, while the entire shadow and its related arc is specifically framed around the age part||

#

So, if the show changed that, thats kinda on the show

#

No, wait, I skipped a part

#

Its briefly mentioned

#

But yeah, I personally like ||Naotos|| arc, though I can definitely see why someone wouldnt

#

||Kanjis is just tragic though, it feels like it undermines itself||

nova depot
#

lol I scroll through the chat and then suddenly it's the mueller report

hasty kernel
#

Welcome to talking about spoilers, thats how it goes

#

On a related sidenote, Im still annoyed that there are no gay romance options in Persona

#

Let me date Ryuji

raven harbor
#

Tell me about it

wide ember
#

ah, the scrapped gay romance options in p2...

hasty kernel
#

Ok but it was a scrapped one for the worst guy

blissful charm
#

i liked p3p a lot but hoo boy the dating is limited and also questionable ||ken||

#

for the girl

hasty kernel
#

Yeaaaah

#

That one is

#

Really questionable

wide ember
#

I really hate how atlus games tend to let, if there is any gay option, to have her/him (never them somehow) look very young, or even is young...

hasty kernel
#

||I also dont like Ken in general tbh, Shinjiro was the best character and Ken is why he went away||

wide ember
#

because they did that with 7th dragon too

#

though a side couple was handled well

#

atlus needs to understand that many gaymers want silver foxes

serene tulip
#

Cid from FFXXIV what?

wide ember
#

yes, that body shape is good

hasty kernel
#

I cant think of many japanese games that have good LGBT representation

#

Or any

#

For that matter

wide ember
#

they do have tv shows and manga with good LGBT representation

#

but video games... I wonder why

serene tulip
#

Night in the woods is best gay representation

hasty kernel
#

Well, Trails of Cold Steel has a grand total of 1 gay character, but she is pretty cool

nova depot
#

lgbt representation in manga is like

#

representation, yeah, but half the time it's made to be kinda creepy

wide ember
#

oh, I was talking about the actual good manga, not the gaybait or yaoi/yuri that are mass produced for the cis hetero mass

#

because there are many by LGBT for LGBT manga, but people rarely talk about them

#

and they often don't get translated

nova depot
#

that would explain why I don't get to see much that isn't just garbage

wide ember
#

there are some confirmed non-cis or bisexual mangaka, I love their stuff

#

it's just, the ones that reach here are usually by cis mangaka and it's to fulfill audience fantasy, and they are creepy garbage

nova depot
#

there are some that are just solid stories and aren't creepy that I've seen, but yeah most of the time it's just garbage

wide ember
#

I personally love when a person in charge of an anime goes "I have this fantasy of being a man in his 30s being loved by a slightly younger and handsomer guy, so I'm putting this in the show"

nova depot
#

lmao

wide ember
#

or "let's make this character non-binary, and they are a CEO and cool"

nova depot
#

I don't see that a lot

#

tho, najimi from komi seems like she's potentially under that umbrella maybe potentially I have no clue

hasty kernel
#

I mean you dont even see female CEOs a lot

#

In japanese media at least

#

Or probably western media as well

nova depot
#

can't tell if the memes with najimi are just for the joke or like, actually an aspect of najimi's character

#

I think that was the character at least

wide ember
#

I was thinking of Anonymous from Shimanami Tasogare and Fire Emblem from Tiger and Bunny, for non-binary CEO

#

Anonymous was better presented though, because the author is not cis (identifies as X gender)

#

Anonymous bought a bunch of abandoned houses for renovations and hired a bunch of LGBT people to renovate them, wish it could go this well in real life

#

Fire Emblem is in energy business and also a superhero, though some scenes were questionable, many were well done, probably thanks to having actual LGBT people in the production team

hasty kernel
#

Oh its a character called Fire Emblem

#

I was thinking what kind of medieval society has CEOs

nova depot
#

^

#

lol

wide ember
#

the Lord class are obviously the CEO class

faint panther
#

Something something capitalism-is-the-new-feudalism.

wide ember
#

wage-slaves, to battle!

#

wait that's more kill la kill

nova depot
#

this isn't an inaccurate statement Kappa

wide ember
#

lol

#

I'm honestly kind of glad for the internet

#

we trans and non-binary people had been able to become more vocal, thanks to the freedom of this shared space

faint panther
#

I used to think the internet did more good than bad. Now I'm not sure.

wide ember
#

the internet is a tool, we decide if it does good or bad

nova depot
#

the internet is the internet

#

also

#

internet being bad is an extremely tunnel-visioned concept

#

like

#

legit, life got so much better for so many people with the advent of instant global communication

hasty kernel
#

The internet has become an eldritch monstrosity we dont fully understand the effects for anymore

nova depot
#

advances in medicine and science have skyrocketed

wide ember
#

I was able to advise my uncle against a risky cancer removal procedure thanks to the speed of email and video chats

hasty kernel
#

It helps connect people and allows easy communication

nova depot
#

oh yeah

#

woops

hasty kernel
#

Unfortunately that includes bad people as well

nova depot
#

but we can use our easy communication to tell said bad people to shut up

tardy anchor
#

hjgvjhj saw ur msg in log and ur right!!

wide ember
#

imagine the internet as a pot of yogurt, if there are more good people than bad people using it, it has better chance of being good

tardy anchor
#

i think the internet is just.......more real life, and its not right to view it as entirely different

#

if there are bad people on the internet, there are bad people "in real life". its the same amount.

wide ember
#

imagine how I felt when I saw the curtain fire screen of people defending a non-binary character's gender during a movie

nova depot
#

yeah @tardy anchor exactly

wide ember
#

people who might not dare to speak in real life, in fear of retaliation, might be able to say what they wanted to say, and sometimes it's very a good thing

hasty kernel
#

Right, the bad people didnt come to be because of the internet

#

But it has given them a certain power they lacked

tardy anchor
#

yeah

hasty kernel
#

Which is to say nothing of disinformation campaigns

nova depot
#

eh, it also gave everyone else a power they lacked

tardy anchor
#

what i find a little scary is when i see the same exact misinfo that used to be hanging on my parents' fridge, and then in email chains, being sent around in whatsapp facebook etc

#

like the same exact untrue information!!

nova depot
#

people are dumb

tardy anchor
#

copypastes stay down to the letter for years

hasty kernel
#

Worst part is when the information to fact check it is easily available

nova depot
#

yeah that's the big issue

blissful charm
#

it can also be dangerous for kids, like they're exposed to SO much inappropriate stuff and dangerous people

wide ember
#

it's much easier to fact check now

tardy anchor
#

hjfhjfj i learned the hard way that copypaste chain emails are garbage bc when i was little i got one that was like SEND PPL THESE PICS OF MISTREATED ANIMALS OR YOU HAVE NO SOUL!!!!! and i was like uh oh i dont want to lose my soul!!! and then all my friends got mad at my for sending them animal gore pics

nova depot
#

people are dumb and lazy and don't fact check

tardy anchor
#

yeah.....

nova depot
#

and kids aren't exposed to "inappropriate stuff" if you pay attention to what your kids are being exposed to

wide ember
#

if people do learn to fact check, those chain letters could act as vaccine

tardy anchor
#

honestly even out of internet, do you ever see those pamphlets that advertise telling you ONE NEAT TRICK to health that require you to send in money?? theyre so upsetting to me

#

like theyre clearly preying on ppl who have poor health/are afraid :((

blissful charm
#

mlms are like that

tardy anchor
#

yeah...

autumn pasture
#

god i keep forgetting 'mlm' is an acronym for 'multi level marketing (scheme'

tardy anchor
#

hgfcghdfghdcgh

wide ember
#

yes we gays are very guillable

hasty kernel
#

Oh well, trying to figure out where the internet goes from here is one of the great challenges of our time

autumn pasture
#

i was like what did i do :(((

tardy anchor
#

gay men dont deserve the comparison....

faint panther
#

I definitely was where you were, stephen.

nova depot
#

mlm is shorthand for pyramid scheme

autumn pasture
#

i remember it just took a sec

faint panther
#

"I--I don't follow where this conversation went."

tardy anchor
#

its shorthand for multileval marketing as well as men loving men! hence confusion

blissful charm
#

like people shilling doterra often try to sell it as something medical

tardy anchor
#

:< yeah

autumn pasture
#

yeah :(

#

honestly i don't even like 'share this in 5sec and money will come your way!!!' posts

tardy anchor
#

one time i found a pamphlet that was like, "100 cures made of garlic" ghdgdh

autumn pasture
#

oh god

hasty kernel
#

Were they garlic and 99 variations of garlic bread?

autumn pasture
#

the only thing you can cure by eating garlic is food boredom

wide ember
#

I remember my parents falling for pyramid and got angry at me for telling them it's a scam, and then soon news popped up about the exactly scam and they had to call their bank...

autumn pasture
#

which, admittedly,

#

oh oof sol :((

tardy anchor
#

oh boy....

hasty kernel
#

I mean, garlic can be good for making colds suck less

faint panther
#

I should make garlic bread at home. Hm.

autumn pasture
#

garlic is Great but a substitute for modern medicine it is not

hasty kernel
#

Im lucky in that regard, my parents are smarter and more informed than I am

wide ember
#

now you are all making me want garlic bread, I only have naan right now

hasty kernel
#

So the odds of them falling for scams are lower than me falling for them

autumn pasture
#

oh man, you're making me want naan >:|

#

-- garlic naan

#

toast some garlic in the oven

tardy anchor
#

omg....go for it

hasty kernel
#

I dont think Ive ever had Naan

wide ember
#

yes I'll mash some garlic now

#

I have olive oil too

faint panther
#

Make aioli. ❤️

autumn pasture
#

the world is your garlicy oyster, sol

blissful charm
#

ohhh garlic aioli is so good

autumn pasture
#

fhsdgfshjgfj my deeply uncultured food opinion about aioli is Mayonnaise Is The Same

#

but also i love mayonnaise

faint panther
#

They're very similar.

#

Wait.

#

Do you skip the eggs or the oil with aioli?

blissful charm
#

mayonnaise: who are you
aioli: im you but stronger

faint panther
#

Blood and darkness, I can't remember.

wide ember
#

I have japanese mayo is that usable

autumn pasture
#

yeah for sure

#

any mayonnaise adjacent thing = good in my book

wide ember
#

ok because I have no fresh eggs left so I'll use the mayo as replacement

autumn pasture
#

yeah the garlic + oil and fat combo i think is what's important here shadesmile

north hamlet
#

i like mayo adjacent, but not actual mayo

#

maybe i've just never had good mayo

nova depot
#

I don't like mayo

blissful charm
#

i think mayo can be good in small doses

hasty kernel
#

I like mayo in specific russian dishes

autumn pasture
#

mayo is delicious in large doses. mayo is almost always good, actually.

hasty kernel
#

Outside of those, I do not like mayo

#

It does work surprisingly great in some salads

autumn pasture
#

smdh........all these mayo deniers

autumn pasture
#

it is not but good guess shadesmile

#

no i wouldn't mayo on popcorn unless a small amount in some kind of butter garlic sauce maybe?

#

but not straight mayo, no

wide ember
#

used fresh garlic + mayo + olive oil + smoked cheddar + fresh meyer lemon juice

#

this is an awesome idea, thank you all for the temptation

faint panther
#

...Sweet merciful Neptune, Sol.

#

Anyway, your personal taste is your personal taste, and you should let no one shame you for what you like, but neither should you shame someone else for what they like.

autumn pasture
#

oh no sol now i'm so hungry >:(

wide ember
#

(smoked cheddar was not put directly in the aioli, it was in the naan dish)

#

(but got mixed together)

autumn pasture
#

smoked cheddar is another god tier food tbh

faint panther
#

Cheddar is the superior cheese for separate consumption, change my mind.

#

I like lots of other cheeses when a topping, but if I'm gonna take a bite out of a whole block of cheese I want cheddar.

wide ember
#

soft cheddar is good snack, smoked cheddar is more of an ingredient imo

north hamlet
#

i'm happy to eat most cheeses straight

faint panther
#

Of course.

#

But there's nothing wrong with having a favorite.

north hamlet
#

of course not

autumn pasture
#

idk, i would absolutely eat smoked cheddar with crackers

north hamlet
#

i declare my lack of favourite in separate cheeses

autumn pasture
#

most cheeses are good for me but cheddar is always what we had around for snacks

#

you are valid

north hamlet
#

as are you, cheddar is excellent

hasty kernel
#

My favourite cheese is no cheese

north hamlet
#

also valid

hasty kernel
#

Actually I guess Mozzarella is delicious

faint panther
#

Turn on location, I just wanna talk. 🔪

autumn pasture
#

i respect your preference for no cheese without being able to relate in the slightest

hasty kernel
#

Cheese sucks

north hamlet
#

dried mozzarella, or fresh

hasty kernel
#

Fresh

wide ember
#

fresh mozzarella

north hamlet
#

very good

autumn pasture
#

oh man you know what is a good cheese though. gorgonzola. i will NOT take criticism

hasty kernel
#

Dried Mozzarella only on pizza

north hamlet
#

exactly

faint panther
#

I came around to bleu cheese recently.

autumn pasture
#

blue cheese is absolutely wonderful

#

LOVE the funk

north hamlet
#

the smell gets to me

faint panther
#

I was making a stuffed sausage burger at my old job.

north hamlet
#

but the taste is fine

autumn pasture
#

mimolette is TRULY the best of cheeses but you can't get it in this country i don't think 😩

faint panther
#

Dude, that thing was so good.

autumn pasture
#

oooohh

wide ember
#

brie cheese warmed and melted on your toast or croque madame

blissful charm
#

cheese is So good

faint panther
#

I wonder if they'd let me do that again... Would probably have to just make it at home. Hm...

blissful charm
#

i made a brie apple chicken pie w my fam during thanksgiving and it was bomb

wide ember
#

I don't remember eating mimolette, I need to try some one day

autumn pasture
#

oooohhh yesss brie is good too

#

oh mimolette is INCREDIBLY delicious

#

made the best grilled cheese sandwich of my life with mimolette on vacation one time

wide ember
#

the colour on mimolette is so bright... though according to wikipedia import to US of mimolette has been put on hold since 2013 due to possible cheese mite allergies

autumn pasture
#

yeah :(((

#

i just want.......the cheese...............
