ONI is finally releasing?

I bought it day one, stopped playing around the Germ Update when it started getting too difficult for my taste

hasty kernel

Wait, which ONI?

supple sleet

Oxygen Not Included, launched today.

It's gotten so so much better since hten Perplexed.

They majorly nerfed germs, and added ways to treat it and stuff.

supple sleet

I haven't played that one in ages. Did it hit full launch?

#

It was actually one of my first paid reviews.

hasty kernel
#

Im interrogating a guy who I hope tells me who is responsible, meanwhile in the background the main characters father figure, and an enemy yakuza captain are having a moment about how good of a detective the MC is

Judgement, as in the Yakuza game? Been out for weeks now

endgame ... demanded too much that i care about MCU characters i'd long since lost interest in

#

I liked Thanos as a villain but then I realized that most people thought he was supposed to be, like, taken seriously? at least his ideology was? rather than a parody of That Kind of enviro-bro?

#

at least all the critiques i saw were like "and thanos's plan is BAD! it doesn't make any SENSE!" and i was like ... i thought ... that was the point?

#

like yes thanos is stupid as hell

#

but 1) he's convinced beyond all reason that he's morally and logistically correct, and
2) he's got the power to actually enact his stupid-as-hell plan

#

anyway the comics version where he pulls the snap in order to romance Death and it doesn't even work is massively funnier

#

ALSO ANYWAY INTO THE SPIDERVERSE IS THE BEST SUPERHERO MOVIE ANYONE'S EVER MADE

#

i'm so glad my boy miles morales has a movie and it gave him everything, artistically and narratively, that he deserved :')

#

man i loved what they did with aaron and i even MORE loved what they did with jefferson ... like they really fleshed out those characters and their relationship with miles

#

i hope the sequel gives us more of Rio though

#

that was the one thing the movie could have improved on i think. more women with arcs/character development.

I WANT MORE GANKE ... so bitter that Homecoming prevented them from giving Miles & Ganke their proper friendship in ITSV >:(

ionic viper
#

mcu spidey had to take so much from miles to try desperately to make him interesting

sly stump
#

they could have given us peter parker as an adult but no we had to do the damn origin story again

#

yet another thing Spiderverse got right

faint panther
#

Tom Holland's been my favorite incarnation of any superhero ever (admittedly haven't seen Spiderverse yet), but they definitely glossed the origin story. This is the first time I've actually seen Peter in high school as a teenager.

#

Andrew Garfield is visibly 30.

supple sleet
#

^

#

I know a couple people that liked Garfield, but I'm not convinced they don't have major drug problems.

sly stump
#

Homecoming ganked huge chunks of Miles's backstory (it even gave us Aaron, but no Miles? come on!), and, yeah, it was the reason the Spiderverse crew had to cut ... essentially Ganke's entire character

#

because they were worried people would see Miles and Ganke's childhood friendship as a ripoff of MCU Peter and Ned Leeds ... when, in fact, Ned Leeds is a blatant ripoff of Ganke Lee

faint panther
#

Okay, that's fair.

sly stump
#

also I really don't like Peter being Stark's protégé.

#
  • Peter, oops.
#

... on second thought, Peter being in Homecoming spared us "Miles Morales is Tony Stark's protégé", so.

#

still wish we'd had Miles in the MCU.

#

I'm late to the spiderverse discussion

#

but re: "aaron but no miles in mcu"

Aaron does mention that he has a nephew that lives in the area when he gets interrogated by Peter, and in a deleted scene he calls Miles and tells him he's going to be late

#

so miles morales in the mcu eventually isn't off the table, but it probably won't happen for a while

somber ferry

god i love spiderverse

i bet if the mcu brings in miles, marvel will end up telling the story a lot differently in order to differentiate the two films

#

This is like the 5th game Ive played where the story centers around that

serene tulip

All my knowledge of Japan's Justice System comes from Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex and Togusa did nothing wrong

upbeat scroll
#

Making games about your country's flaws is praxis!!!

buoyant frigate
#

I would, do more in-depth research before making that call,

#

Especially if you aren’t from there,

hasty kernel
#

Its just an observation I made

buoyant frigate
#

Yes

hasty kernel
#

Also, yeah, it is a common thing, but a flaw that seems this present in media?

#

Its curious, at the very least

#

Gotta say, if I were to make a game like that, Im not sure what flaw germany has thats worth making a game about

upbeat scroll
#

Says something about the culture in Japan at least

hasty kernel
#

The unfortunate rise of the far right? Not uniquely german, and arguably not as bad here as it is in, say, Poland

#

Political complacency? Certainly a flaw, but how do you make a game about it

upbeat scroll
#

I mean, talking about your own experiences and observations is always gonna be more poignant. The far right is back in germany? There's gotta be some analogies you can make there

hasty kernel
#

Not so much back since they never really left

#

Just bigger

upbeat scroll
#

You'd know better than I do

cinder blaze
#

Well, dystopian fiction is pretty common and the authors of such works often exaggerate a component of their society to take it to it's logical conclusion but that doesn't mean that's how said society works. Often it's just the worst possible outcome.

hasty kernel
#

Mmh

#

I mean, I guess technically the one game I really want to make does include a critique of nationalism

But its more general than just about germany

upbeat scroll

hasty kernel
#

Hm

#

I wonder, actually

#

I played Darkspore, and I did reasonably enjoy it, but

#

It was kinda clunky?

#

Like, its an isometric 2d action/grind game that has a lot of spores weirdness that didnt exactly mesh well with the formula

supple sleet

It was. And the playerbase was kind of small. It wasn't very well published, for an EA game (I think it was EA? Wasn't it on Origin only?)

hasty kernel

i’m talking more about the story right at the beginning

#

lucinas reveal .. wow wasn’t expecting that one that’s crazy

ionic viper
#

ah

copper lark
#

but also if they don’t know lucina and owain how are they so close with robin this isn’t making sense to me

hasty kernel

Yknow how there are things you dont know you needed until youve seen them?

#

Turns out "roman republic except its dinosaurs" is one of those things for me

severe plover
#

Oh My God

#

Finally something good to come out of the Roman Empire amen

hasty kernel
#

You do know that the Roman Empire gave us foccacia and by extension, Pizza, right?

severe plover
#

Hm ok

#

2 things

#

But they’re on Thin Freaking Ice

copper lark
#

im back home and ive missed my pc so much

#

my big slow baby

wide ember
#

Also advanced roads

#

Roads are pretty cool

#

Other stuff, much less good

hasty kernel
#

I kinda wish Togas stuck around

north hamlet
#

Didn't they also make aqueducts?

#

Those are pretty handy

hasty kernel
#

Yup, they did

north hamlet
#

I had a hard time thinking of much else that's good though

hasty kernel
#

Really, besides the whole being an empire in the times around 0 BC, rome wasnt bad

north hamlet
#

It kinda just was, really

hasty kernel
#

Basically rome is something you can find fascinating

#

It shouldnt be something to imitate or be inspired by

upbeat scroll
#

Can't believe they invented the salad

severe plover
#

I’m just still mad Rome stole all the Greek gods and went ‘ I made these, mine’

#

I mean hey did other bad things but y’all get it

analog spear
#

they had their ups and downs

#

concreate was clutch

severe plover
#

Fax

hasty kernel
#

I mean, they didnt do that, actually

analog spear
#

could have sworn that was them

hasty kernel
#

Rome was founded, presumably, by greek people in what became eventually rome

#

Its no surprise they kept their gods

#

Oh I think they did make concrete, wasnt referring to that

analog spear
#

oh

#

I was like "damn you American education system!"

hasty kernel
#

Though the romans had their own gods as well

#

Many of them, too

#

Theyre just less famous

north hamlet
#

They made concrete, but I'm pretty sure everyone forgot about it in the Middle Ages so not sure if we got it from them

severe plover
#

Oh yeah we don’t have their exact road stuff anymore it was lost

analog spear
#

I mean that happened a lot in the dark ages

hasty kernel
#

Ironically flora and fauna

#

Are roman godesses

#

Hence where those words come from

north hamlet
#

Also the romans were like weebs for greek culture so they probably would've adopted a lot of their religious practices after assimilating them, whether they originally came from greece or not

hasty kernel
#

Less weebs and more just partially descendant from them

#

The cultures were somewhat close as a result of their common origin

severe plover
#

The phrase weebs for Greek culture may be right but it gave me the common cold

north hamlet
#

They held greek culture, especially their philosophy, in amusingly high esteem

hasty kernel
#

That much is true

north hamlet
#

I don't think it's just common ancestry that's responsible for that, but the level of familiarity probably made it much more appealing

#

Kind of like how manga developed from western comics back then now that i think about it

copper lark
#

weebs for greek culture

#

i felt that

north hamlet
#

(。•̀ᴗ-)✧

analog spear
#

Greek anime when?

north hamlet
#

I think that's their plays

copper lark
#

no.. dont run at 11 fps haha... youre so sexy....

#

i hate ffxiv

north hamlet
#

Greek plays had a lot of grounding in philosophy iirc so you could consider it the tv version of their texts

copper lark
#

i had my settings on max

#

whoops

#

im running a solid 14 fps now

hasty kernel
#

Ouch

wide ember
#

I thought they took concrete from phoenicians or something

#

Grecophilia maybe, if you want anime it’s more those assyrians

#

Greek were more weird plays and I don’t know what’s the modern counter part

hasty kernel
#

There were similiar kinda substances before the romans did it

#

But what the romans had is the closest to concrete as we know it

wide ember
#

Ok it was middle eastern but not Phoenician either

#

The modern recipe was closest to Portland concrete

#

Roman concrete was not similar to modern concrete either due to not being plastic during use (see linked article)

#

Not plastic as in not flowing

serene tulip
#

My hometown had a whole bunch of concrete from the 1600s

wide ember
#

...expired or?

serene tulip
#

Buncha tabby walls n stuff

wide ember
#

I think that my first time seeing someone use the term tabby for wall

#

Oh

#

When you say tabby I was thinking of the pattern on cat or cuttlefish

serene tulip
#

Nope ^^ Mighta been later than the 1600s tho, now that I look it up

wide ember
#

Oyster shell lime huh

#

I can imagine that become submerged and a confused parrotfish chewing it for minutes before realizing there is no edible underneath

#

The texture looks really cool

serene tulip
#

Also, fun fact, all media has grounding in philosophy

wide ember
#

not wrong but I'm not sure if it's strictly correct either

#

storytelling, fiction, news are all invented as mirror to our psychology and perceptions, so yes they would all be kind of philosophical by default whether you want it or not

#

but then I look at some messed up stuff and I just whisper to myself at night I hope not this one

supple sleet
#

I had a book in my writing class "Everything's an Argument"

#

Which would support the philosophy thing.

wide ember
#

there is a chinese proverb: there is no smoke without fire

#

and this applies to all media, a human mind at some point started the generation

#

even AI generated media is rooted in human psyche

hasty kernel
#

In a way

#

Mainly because its trained on human-made data

wide ember
#

and philosophy is questioning the existence and the questioning is endless

#

well, you know the chinese room model

#

the machine does not need to know chinese to translate chinese

hasty kernel
#

Yeah

wide ember
#

but the questioning still started in us

hasty kernel
#

Yup

wide ember
#

and when we read it, we become a philosopher

hasty kernel
#

Unless of course we find a way to train AI on non-human data

wide ember
#

hm

hasty kernel
#

Theoretically, that would be possible if we found some mathematical function for, say, music

#

Or functions

wide ember
#

we do have those

#

there is at least one university class on the link between math and music

hasty kernel
#

To a degree, yes

wide ember
#

and how our perception and love of music follows mathematical rules

hasty kernel
#

Nothing to the point where you can generate music from those functions I dont think?

wide ember
#

we definitely can

hasty kernel
#

Well, then we do have media that doesnt stem from philosophy

wide ember
#

but the copyright issue would be bad because it will hit multiple pre-existing and copyrighted melodies

#

but math is philosophy

#

ancient mathematicians were very often philosophers, like Pythagoras

#

math is the ancient common language that allows us to understand the thoughts of gods and realities and ourselves

hasty kernel
#

Thats more of a tendency of educated people being educated in more than one field

#

Math itself isnt really philosophy

#

Its an attempt to dissect the universes building blocks

wide ember
#

it is if you have faith

#

because you just described what philosophy is trying to do

#

dissect the universeès building blocks

hasty kernel
#

You could call it a fundamental language, or you could call it a tool

#

Mmh

#

Im not sure I would agree with that?

wide ember
#

I mean, you don't have to, it's philosophy

#

everything is subjective

hasty kernel
#

True

#

I guess if I had to put the difference in words, math is the what, philosophy is the how/why

wide ember
#

but math is also how/why

#

if you use math to find what human mind likes

#

why I like this photo? because math

#

why I like this tune but not the other? math

hasty kernel
#

Right but thats more of an application of math

#

Rather than math itself

wide ember
#

math applied to psychology?

hasty kernel
#

I guess?

#

Maybe its more neurology

wide ember
#

nope, perception is more psychology

#

but yes, psychology is based on neurology as well

#

though in university, neurology classes are the more biology classes and psychology are more perception and data

#

here at least

#

at some point I took a class named psychoendocrinoneurology I think

#

it was neurotransmitters

hasty kernel
#

I was thinking more that math would probably interface with the neurological functions side moreso than the more abstract psychology

wide ember
#

you would be surprised

#

I remember subscribing to the math and music (and how they are related) class, if I find it I'll give you the name

#

it's probably buried in my old school books somewhere next to stats and notes on PTSD

#

the medication used in PTSD proved that memory is registered on at least two layers, emotional memory (focus, interpretation, etc.) and factual (the actual events seen and heard and smelled)

#

because you can use meds to inhibit only the emotive and boost the other

#

that's neurology and pharmacy's domain

#

math is a lot more on interpretation and perceptions, so I'd say we could class it as abstract psychology

#

unless we use math for the measurements, how many quantity of neurotransmitters are released when hearing this kind of wave function, then I agree with you

#

but the wave functions in music, when do we hear them, how they mix to make music, that's more of a perception thing, math is a really wide use tool

hasty kernel
#

Mmh

serene tulip
#

Ai generated media trained on natural phenomenon still has its roots in philosophy because it was created for a purpose

#

one of the art projects I've always wanted to make is a mechanical computer that calculates digits of pi and then plays them on chimes

#

it hasn't worked out so well though because it turns out that there isn't a function to calculate individual digits of pi that well

#

also mechanical computers that do things more complex than multiplication are hard

hasty kernel
#

Eh, knowing computer scientists, I doubt it was made for a purpose

#

Im 99% sure the reason it was made was "Hey, I can do it. Lets do it"

serene tulip
#

That's philosophy though

#

its how we explore this universe

hasty kernel
#

Im not sure its philosophy as much as a combination of boredom and an inability to sit still

serene tulip
#

IMO, if it doesn't fit in the first few levels of maslowe's heirarchy of needs its philosophy.

hasty kernel
#

Speaking of which, the updated Maslowes hierarchy of needs

serene tulip
#

right?

somber ferry
#

oh mood

#

i wouldn't have a job without wifi haha

hasty kernel
#

At this point if internet access in a nation collapsed for just a day, wed see major chaos

serene tulip
#

Any major city is 3 hot meals away from anarchy

#

or 20 minutes without cell service

hasty kernel
#

So, despite this being mostly joking

#

The internet has probably found its way into the second tier

serene tulip
#

I mean

#

its a tool by which you can attain any of the tiers

hasty kernel
#

True, but our infrastructure is so dependant on it that its highly linked to the second one, Id argue

#

Dependent

#

.. which is correct?

north hamlet
#

Both

#

It may depend on where you are relative to the Atlantic

hasty kernel
#

I see

#

Oh hey, you basically cant play SWTOR properly without subscribing, which costs just as much as FFXIV

#

Welp, time to uninstall it then

#

Whats the point of it being f2p if you highly restrict PvP and PvE anyway

copper lark
#

why cant i marry krobus

#

please concernedape

wide ember
#

Why Krobus he lives in the sewer

#

The dwarf is clearer superior

hasty kernel
#

Grumble grumble why do subscriptions keep ruining MMOs

wide ember
#

And yes wifi is firmly part of social stability so it is in the second tier

#

MMO executives want money

hasty kernel
#

The funny thing is that subscriptions usually are only a small part of the income anyway

#

With most coming from cosmetics in the cash shop

wide ember
#

Gachapon is usually major

#

Yep, the dye and pets

hasty kernel
#

Ok that too but I dont play MMOs like that out of principle

wide ember
#

But the whole gachapon aspect is very rewarding

#

For both parties

copper lark
#

krobus is a sewer gremlin,, me too

hasty kernel
#

Ehhhhh

#

I assume you basically mean lootboxes with the "gachapon" thing, right?

wide ember
#

Yes

hasty kernel
#

Right, then I would argue while there is some enjoyment people might get out of it

#

It tends to prey on gambling addiction

#

Which for me is just not something games should do

wide ember
#

I mean, very yes, I agree

#

Though somehow the thrill of throwing money at it feels good

copper lark
#

that makes sense

wide ember
#

(It’s called uncertain intermittent reward system in psychology I think?)

copper lark
#

because. i am also addicted to gacha games

hasty kernel
#

I have no idea

#

I personally dont actually enjoy them

wide ember
#

Then you are most healthy than Syd and I

hasty kernel
#

Ive played like 4 different card games and I avoid opening boosters if possible, and just skip through them if I cant

#

In that regard, perhaps

#

I can definitely see the appeal

copper lark
#

me, spending real money on love live and azur lane:

hasty kernel
#

I just dont experience it, and I think games are better off without it

#

Wow, Syd plays the weeb ship game, Im surprised

copper lark
#

cute anime girls. im a simple enby

hasty kernel
#

Hm

#

Yeah I guess I can see it

wide ember
#

Addiction is linked to substance abuse and self sabotage

serene tulip
#

Like, my main issue with Gacha games is just that they're inherently exploitative

wide ember
#

I have trouble with both alcohol and gacha

#

Addiction to cute anime girls is probably harmless by itself though

copper lark
#

:,3c

hasty kernel
#

Well I also dont drink alcohol

#

Also, generally yes?

copper lark
#

i also spent money on mystic messenger

hasty kernel
#

Weebs can be problems but

copper lark
#

that was cute anime boys

hasty kernel
#

That has more to do with weebs than anime girls/boys

wide ember
#

As in too willing to throw money at bait yes

copper lark
#

i dont think this has anything to do with this topic but its still funny to me

serene tulip
#

I'm addicted to fizzy drinks

copper lark
#

my brother bought every season of dora the explorer when he was younger by accident

hasty kernel
#

I mean this is off-topic

#

Really we just keep failing to stay on topic of this channel

#

Which is off-topic

#

Which in itself means that we are off-topic

#

Which means we are on-topic

copper lark
#

my attention span doesnt help rooFeels

#

im sorry

wide ember
#

Irony

hasty kernel
#

Well Syd isnt a robot at least

#

The paradox didnt explode them

serene tulip
#

you can't prove that

hasty kernel
#

I just did

wide ember
#

Advanced robots are fine with it

#

Think of the think tanks

serene tulip
#

There's no reason why a natural language ai would suffer from paradoxes!

hasty kernel
#

Thats just a marketting lie

#

Those "robots" are just people in elaborate costumes

copper lark
#

im def not ai bc i dunno what any of these words mean!

hasty kernel
#

Artificial Intelligence?

copper lark
#

yeah i know what that means

#

the words dont make sense to me tho lool

hasty kernel
#

... right

wide ember
#

I mean, irony isn’t a paradox in truth either, depending

#

Irony is when the defeat comes from itself

copper lark
#

im stupid more than one long word in a sentence hurts my brain

wide ember
#

Paradox is when there is no cause or effect because both are both

#

Syd you gotta have more confidence

#

Eventually you will

copper lark
#

I came here to have a good time and im feeling so attacked right now

hasty kernel
#

Strictly speaking irony is just using a word to express something other than its literal meaning

#

If youre a masochist, is it "I came here to feel attacked and Im honestly having such a good time right now"?

wide ember
#

Are contrarians masochist by definition or by irony

hasty kernel
#

Yes

#

Man why is it so hard to find a free MMO with decent PvP >.>

#

That isnt GW2, that is

serene tulip
#

MFW I glamor my Au Ra to have boots, baggy pants, and a basic vest because I just want her to be comfortable

copper lark
#

have you,, bought the game

#

pog

serene tulip
#

yes

hasty kernel
#

Hm

#

Am I desperate enough to try Archeage or ESO

north hamlet
#

ESO was good last time i played

#

The whole one time purchase thing is really nice

hasty kernel
#

Yeah that part I do like

#

GW2 basically has that

#

But from what Ive seen, I dont think I would enjoy the combat

north hamlet
#

From what i can tell it is a bit odd for an mmo

#

I did find that it varies a bit based on how you build even within one class, but that might not be useful if the core systems aren't interesting to you

hasty kernel
#

Plus the free version is a bit too limited for my taste

#

Not being able to dye your armour sucks

north hamlet
#

The dye function in the game is pretty good

#

I would be disappointed if i couldn't do it

hasty kernel
#

Afaik only available to subscribers

#

Mmh

#

Granted I dont change my outfit much in MMOs

#

I think my Thief is now on his fifth iteration in 6 years

#

But its something I do want to have access to

north hamlet
#

When i played eso anyone could dye their equipment, but it has been a few years

#

Dyeing weapons was sub only

hasty kernel
#

Yeah, its all sub-only now according to their website

serene tulip
#

I'm pretty sure I could dye my armor before I bought the game

#

for FFXIV

#

iffin' that's what you're talking about

#

Oh, ESO

#

need to read scrollback

hasty kernel
#

Nah, its ESO

#

Im trying to find an MMO to play PvP in since im kinda burned out on GW2s sPvP

#

WvW is still fun, but sPvP has the main issue that killing the other players is kind of a secondary objective

#

Since it only has one gamemode

#

Which is point control

#

Though apparently ESO only has a WvW equivalent so thats ruled out anyway

copper lark
#

[banging my fists on the table] ffxiv arr sucks but please pull through it

wide ember
#

Is Starcraft series still around for online pvp

#

That would be mmo but not really rpg though

hasty kernel
#

You mean starcraft the RTS?

#

Yeah its around, not what Im looking for though

#

For non-MMO PvP Ive got league and whatever FPS I feel like playing

#

Its not quite the same though

#

I guess Im just stuck with GW2 til something interesting comes out

#

PSO2 unfortunately doesnt have PvP either

wide ember
#

There was fly for fun or something in the past too

hasty kernel
#

Oh thats an ancient game

wide ember
#

It was a mmorpg between ragnarok online and ff

#

Yeah

#

I’m ancient

hasty kernel
#

Flyff came out when I was but a wee lad

#

Quite literally, I was like 7

wide ember
#

I was in highschool or college

upbeat scroll
#

Anyone tried dofus?

wide ember
#

Oh god no

hasty kernel
#

I played Wakfu, but not Dofus

#

I found Wakfu to be quite charming

#

Only quit since I got lost after level 30 or so

wide ember
#

I can’t stand that quantity of puns in a single game

hasty kernel
#

Weak

wide ember
#

My pun immunity is low

hasty kernel
#

I guess you dont handle punishment well

faint panther
#

Why are you like this?

hasty kernel
#

Because puns are my lifeblood

#

Theyre great

#

Theyre as funny as high brow jokes, with none of the effort

faint panther
#

I'd say puns have an upper limit that high brow jokes exceed.

hasty kernel
#

Eye do not agree

copper lark
#

i have a limit to puns :(

#

i wish i didn’t

hasty kernel
#

Thats punfortunate

serene tulip
velvet fjord
#

I'm super late but oh my god I remember Flyff
those weird pumpkin boys scared me when I was like seven

hasty kernel
#

Oh well, I give up, guess there really is no worthwhile PvP that isnt exactly GW2

velvet fjord
#

I've never really understood the appeal of mmo pvp
GW2 I guess it makes more sense since there isn't really "questing"

hasty kernel
#

Honestly the main one is that there are no real melee PVP games otherwise

velvet fjord
#

for honor?

hasty kernel
#

The 2 I know of are stance-based games

#

For Honor is one of the 2

velvet fjord
#

although that's more of a fancy fighting game

hasty kernel
#

Thats a very different approach

#

Yeah

velvet fjord
#

LoTRO has pvp in a sense, although it isn't populated
one side is the Free Peoples (your regular characters) and the other is Monsters (special pvp-only characters, most of which you need to buy with lotro points or be VIP) and you fight over forts and stuff

hasty kernel
#

Yeah, thats also a different approach

#

Honestly the thing with GW2s is that its good for the most part, but their choice of PvP gamemode and the fact that its the only one has made class design, lets say, weird

#

There used to be a good game for this, Gigantic, but

#

Well

#

It shutdown

velvet fjord
#

ESO has very similar PvP to GW2 but lol who plays ESO for alliance wars

hasty kernel
#

Plus that gamemode exists in GW2 as well

#

And i havent burnt out on it quite yet

#

I guess there was that one game they showed at E3, what was it

#

Bleeding edge?

#

That one could be nice

chilly briar
#

Does eso even compare to pvz tho

hasty kernel
#

I have no idea what that is

ionic viper
#

pvz? plants vs zombies, i assume

hasty kernel
#

Also the restriction on SWTOR PVP is especially stupid because it has a loophole

#

If you queue up with someone who is subbed, you can still play it even though youre technically limited

chilly briar
#

Plants vs zombies, ofc

velvet fjord
#

bleeding edge looks exactly like overwatch
I watched yahtzee's forced E3 interviews and you could tell how nervous the guy presenting it was

hasty kernel
#

To be fair, the poor guy was being interviewed by Yahtzee

velvet fjord
#

that's true

hasty kernel
#

And hey, if its Overwatch but more melee and TDM, Im ok with that

copper lark
#

yall ever not have the right colour to finish a drawing so ur like

#

sigh

faint panther
#

Less melee, please.

hasty kernel
#

No, more melee

#

Unless you mean the smash Bros game

faint panther
#

Well, more Super Smash Bros Melee, less dedicated melee buttons in FPS.

#

High risk high reward melee primaries are okay.

#

No more punching after one hitmarker for a confirmed kill.

#

Especially in those games that lock-on with a lunge.

velvet fjord
#

overwatch's melee I think is good cause it is always a last resort finisher
"modern" melee in shooters needs to die forever

faint panther
#

They actually had melee fixed in Black Ops 4 before launch.

#

No lock-on, pitiful hitbox, and it did roughly chip damage.

#

Then they reverted it to MW2 Commando that did 145 damage, compared to the base health of 150 of a given player.

#

Spray and pray in close quarters, then press melee for your guaranteed kill.

velvet fjord
#

which doesn't even make sense, a knife to the leg doesn't hurt nearly as bad as several bullets to the chest

Dusters tend to have a slit up the back

#

because they were originally worn by folks who rode horses

#

(this also makes them useful for folks who are rats and have tails)

supple sleet
