yes, you can unlock glamour prisms
they can make one piece of gear you have look like another piece of gear you have
(and can equip)
if you put armour into your glamour dresser (in your room at the inns) then you can apply it to a glamour plate, which will apply a whole look at once instead of having to do it piece by piece
glamour plates can also be linked to gear sets so they'll look the same even if you change what's in the set
that's as far as i understand, anyway
