Nah, it's not like they didn't put up a good show. It's pretty much like you'd expect it, including a giant inflatable penis-dragon as stage decoration.
What I found disappointing is that there was almost no crowd interaction. There was a pretty noticeable divide if you will, they are on stage performing, and the crowd's job is to enjoy that performance. When you have hundreds of people standing there who know the songs, it just felt really disappointing that the band wouldn't include the crowd in the performance, for example by having them sing the part of the devil in "Tribute" (which they had the touring guitarist sing instead).
Now compare that to other rock bands who let the crowd sing verses or even entire songs, have the crowd do silly stuff, or even get people on stage to play instruments. Hell, Green Day has a song where they get fans on stage to play every instrument and then just stand at the side of the stage while a bunch of fans perform. This kind of band-crowd interaction is what makes concerts a fun experience for me, and the total lack of this aspect made Tenacious D's show feel quite disappointing to me.

i dont have to worry about dropping/losing my glasses
and i can use goggles and sunglasses more easily
pricewise, contacts are cheaper if your prescription changes often, glasses are much cheaper if it's stable
so if your eyes are actively getting worse year by year then it's cheaper to use contacts than having to keep investing in new lenses

Insomnia is an illness, tbh, even if it's temporary it can be as debilitating as a stomach virus or a fever - it's not a personal failing! just like with sick days, having a good track record of not taking time off when you don't need to and being reliable will generally give you more wiggle room
