if I’m not mistaken, in the section where you change your region above the play button there’s a PTR option

you change to that, download the PTR and can play her there

Her abilities are now: teleporter with limited range on cooldown, three beefed up turrets that are projectile, and her ult is a shield that spans the entire map for a limited time.

Probably but the way it works now is you put it wherever you are and the other teleporter is wherever you’re looking within a limited range so it’s much harder now

Does Octopath Traveller get any better? In terms of storytelling, at least. The game is stunningly good looking and with a soundtrack to match, but the 8 stories are so generic and unrelated that I really didn't feel like finishing it. Especially since I had Hollow Knight to play. Should I put it back into the rotation after I finish Let's Go or leave it for a rainy day far in the future?

I'm about 35 hours in. The story has been abysmal for me. I find a character, complete their story that has nothing to do with the other 8 characters, and then go to a new town and repeat the process. I expected that to stop after I unlocked all the characters but then it just opened up options to continue each of these 8 separate stories. Having different characters in your party gives you new gameplay options but none of them add or subtract from the story itself. It all feels really disconnected.

Everything else is great though. Battle system, graphics, sound design, even the UI are all great. I already beat Hollow Knight. And replayed Bastion. And beat Super Mario Odyssey. I just don't usually drop games and especially not $60 dollar ones so its a feels bad. I need to stop buying digital tbh until companies are willing to implement trading and reselling of licenses.

I mean their are a few races with a fly speed in dnd I believe and tieflings could work for demons so it's not tooo far fetched

You can prob do it tho, balancing will be a pain but DnD fully supports home brewing stuff. Volos guide to monsters made a couple of monsters into PC races.

I was thinking that the Pyre story would be a fun idea for a DnD campaign as well. Wilderness and travel, then 3 on 3 battles versus npcs. I'm a pretty casual (and lazy) DM though. I would probably just take the existing races and tweak a bit as needed and make them fit pyre. The elf is a savage now, the cur is a half-ling with double speed. etc.

I am looking foward to "Ori and the Will of the Wisps"! I LOVED the first one, didn't even expect them to make a second one, but as soon as I knew about it's existence I became OVER THE MOON ABOUT IT!!! Sooooooooooo hyped for it--it's world and artwork and game design [combat and stuff] is soooo much fun! And the story is good, too! Although the best thing about the first is definitely the music! It made me buy the game /immediately/!

Yeah at PAX Aus. It was really good @trail gazelle it builds on the first in a great way. The burrowing feels really fun and it's just as gorgeous as ever. The weapons for combat is sooooo good. The first Ori's blue missile spam never bothered me but this new one improves on it massively. Was super fun

Minecraft was bad because once the dev got their money, they barely delivered on the things they said they'd implement, tried to monetize the mod API, and a lot of the later features close to release were oddly similar to mods.

I would be down for buying it as just a zip folder download. Having to go through so many launchers constantly is annoying since every time you open a game you potentially have to download an update for the launcher and then maybe make an account for that launcher as well if it's your first time. IMO having to download a new file every time they release a new version seems less of a chore than having to go through a launcher again. Especially when there are already so many.

It's not so much that Epic Store is bad by itself

it's that the initial thrust of what they're offering seems to be very friendly to major game publishers, a bit less friendly towards consumers, they're an unknown on the storefront field and as such untested and unproven

i find the witcher 3 to damm complex, i tried the game 3 times but i cant, crafting, levels, toons of items, sidequests, to many attacks, skills combos i just cant i bough the game so i can help the devs. But i really cnt paly it.

I don't have a problem with devs making a game, selling it and then finding that they should make more content, and make that as DLC. I do not have a problem with a game being made and making revenue F2P model (provided it isn't gambling for content). I do have a problem with a game being made and the DLC coming out on the first day. That seems disingenuous, as if the game is being chopped up and sold as parts.
