oh that's true yeah haha, but man 3 play throughs and I was still finding stuff I hadn't seen before. Then playing through with no powers and it's a whole other game. I can't praise it enough.

Dishonored feels like a first party game or something. A real triple A in my opinion.

I remember the first time I started I was thinking "man, this game would just be better if it were 3rd person, why didn't they?" Then after a few hours it started making sense. It gives you that frantic combat feeling that action games kind of miss.

The platinum is pretty hard for both games. I remember I got like halfway through the game with no kills and then somewhere along the way a guard got killed by a bloodfly (I think) and it overwrote my save. failbag

I think Dead Space also had really intelligent level design. They took a lot of their ideas from older stuff, but that game is also really intelligently designed. Apart from the jump scares xD

This kind of has to do with music, but one of my favorite small, weird, little things after you beat a game is when you go back to the title screen and hear the opening again. The Last of Us had the background change a little too. Small touches like that make me want to come back to a game later.

It's an emotional one. IMO, not theme fits it's usage better then that one. It's a sad theme that fits the saddest zone in the game.

Home is second place for me. Then it's the main theme, Undertale.

Cause Home is another glorious atmospheric theme, except on the opposite end of the spectrum of Waterfall

P.S. Xenoblade Chronicles is another game with glorious music. It also has an unhealthy fan base, kinda like Undertale.

ok i found something really funny in his channel, at least in my opinion
if you go back to older videos you see that his thumbnails used to be colorful, but then he changed them to "white background, a simple picture of a character and 3-5 big words"
at first those words were just black, but then he started to color one in red
as you go to newer videos you can see the red word gets more and more intense red, probably refers to his anger

From what I've gathered from my EDGY SENSES. He's a guy with a mba who really thinks highly of himself and idolizes TotalBiscuit. He is out of his depth and out of options since his patrons are leaving him in droves and then after a bunch of faux pas, public opinion of him is dropping hard.

Besides I ain't the kind of toxicity people should encourage online. Maybe I should do "real" content and spend 15 minutes saying nothing about a video game, like there aren't 500 other channels online trying to do that.

When I used to make videos on my other channel, it was fairly strange how developers were for the most part, always very courteous. I can't exactly imagine the backlash from audiences is fun to have. There's always 1% of people going over to the dev and doing dumb things, and 1% of 100000 is a lot of people.

Octopath is how every 16-bit remake should look. It's like the best of both worlds. Beautiful sprites, but with lighting effects and I love the shadow box style of the environment.

Early reviews range from 10/10 to "botched JRPG experiment". Biggest complaint seems to be the grindiness. I don''t really give those complaints much weight though. Grinding is playing the game, hehe. Reviews only tell part of the story anyway.

The game is just hard but I thought it was really boring. You go through these really long levels with little to no music or narration and you just feel really slow. It really had a good chance for world building but they had to put all the narration in Norse so you kinda had to sit and read the narration.

I remember reading a review about how the game flops because it's trying to do too many things at once. On one side, it wants to be a scenery-based game. On the other, it tries to be an epic adventure. By trying to pull off both, they failed at both.

Only hated it because it was a phone game engine, and a very poor one at that. So every game developer for a while used unity, even for pc games..... And it resulted in tons of very poor quality games. Over the years though I've seen some amazing stuff built with it. Their latest tech demo video too was pretty good

The first one was great, the co-op cooking had us yelling at each other, but like the difference between portal and portal 2, I am ready for the amazing polish the game so needed.

What would be wrong with Supergiant making a Zelda game? I’ve been wanting a Zelda game where you actually play as Her. Makes sense, in Zelda you play as link. In Link you play as Zelda =3

Breath of the Wild was okay. Twilight Princess will always be my favorite modern Zelda. I guess I have weird taste though.

I just threw out a ton of bottlecaps haha. I saved a TON over the years. Weird obsession fallout started. I only learned how to get non-twist offs off while keeping them flat kinda recently, so most of the caps were bent. I just didn't care at that point. Saved my unique ones in a little box, and tossed the rest

when i was first learning how to mod pyre's scripts and text files

i tried out a few small easily observable things first like changing epilogue text

The only parts of the game that are easily accessible are the last lib rite and the epilogue bc of how the game autosaves

#

so if i want to playtest stuff i usually try it in those spots first

I was playing around and decided to change a line of text in deluge's epilogue just to see how it worked

#

i kinda forgot about it and went about making bigger text changing mods, one of which was a volfralech mod that didn't really change much but kinda just cleared out some of the heavier no-homo moments

#

i changed maaaaybe six words overall and added one punctuation mark but it makes a huge difference lol

#

anyways i put that up on the old server and @ionic viper , being a diligent tester, informed me that the line i'd put in deluge's epilogue as a test waaaay before was still in there lmao

It is a comic, but I definitely hear you. There is some darn good stuff out there though. It's not for everyone, but books and comics are my favorite medium for sure. It's tough to find the time sometimes though. I haven't made the switch to ebooks yet.
