Parsec is pretty good, but there’s a few requirements you’ve got to meet

#

As far as actually playing with people, at least 1 person needs a controller. Since Parsec is simulating a local game, two people can’t both use keyboard & mouse

#

The internet upload speed is another. If you’re hosting a game, you’ve got to have 10 mbps upload on a 5GHz WiFi or ethernet (and not ethernet-thru-powerline) connection to ensure 60 FPS

volfred and the reader both have telepathy. tariq is probably an alien/celestial being. *ae apparently quotes the Book despite not knowing how to read and has an uncanny knack for figuring out how to get good with the scribes.

oralech was just an ordinary dude before he got dunked off alodiel and he's the only one we see that can understand ti'zo. oralech had nothing but his bedside manner and strong friendship and he somehow learned the imp language.

I wanted to just drop a comment here that I loved Pyre, but I felt like there must have been Oregon Trail-style time and resource management at some point. The game kind of feels empty and tonally weird considering everyone talks about how hard life is in the Downside, but as the player you just leisurely fly around gorgeous landscapes and get to know colorful characters. There's also that awkward period of time after the big final rites of the, uh, "season" where the group just camps out for a couple of weeks without doing anything that feels like it would have been perfect for exploring, getting to know characters, and gathering resources without the stress of having to get to the next Rite in X days.

Was there ever a system like that meant for the game or am I crazy?

I love the game, but it feels kind of lacking at times. And it doesn't have the replayability of the other games. It takes like 2 hours of mandatory rites and really superficial stories before you can make any meaningful player choices; the first one coming who you send home the first time

Bit late to the convo but I too enjoyred Pyre very much, one of the few games ai would replay multiple times.

Going into the final rite, there was only Bertrude, Sandalwood and Ti'zo left. I was determined to see Sandalwood free to make sure the Plan would succeed.
But that changed when Sandalwood decided to willingly give me the freedom or choice. Even if I believed that there are better people to walk the path I paved for the future of the Commonwealth.
But i decided that righting the wrongs done to Oralech was the right choice, even if it didn't serve the plan.

But honestly I was like 0% invested in "the plan" 😂 I felt like not enough information was given to me, so I didn't really feel the need to make it succeed or not. I just sent the characters I loved the most and thought would like it the most up the rites (which was bittersweet as I ended up with the characters in the end that I did not really love as much, except for my Shae <3)
I'd have loved to be able to free Sandra somehow. Or join her in the crystal (not sure if that was an option, it's been quite a bit since I played it!)
