So... how do I start a Parsec game?

Start up Pyre and Parsec
Create a party for however many players you want and name it, etc
Make sure Pyre is in the "allowed apps" section haha
Then other players can connect to your party
You may have to go into your settings and enable hosting first
You can control which device players can use with the left sidebar in the party, there are icons for controller and keyboard so, if you wanted to play with one other person for example, you could give them keyboard control only while you keep controller control

study in private seems better than tutoring, except for when you're less than 1000 away from levelup and you really want to make a character better

Generally I try to tutor instead of study if the character is less than ~1600 away from level up. Means you can put them in for the next rite, and if you win, they level up

There was meant to be a fuel system as well. And more map interaction in general.
Guess it was dropped in favour of good story, which is a plus.
And yeah, there was meant to be a village called Shivport.
That was still at the time when the Downside was meant to be called Otherworld.
Also, content stores a Weapons folder with "Weapons", "UrsaWeapons" and "EnemyWeapons"

@stoic junco Yeah, the calendar as a whole is a vestigial remnant of one of the earlier builds of Pyre. Greg worked it back in through Volfred's planner, but unlike before, it has little effect on the game or gameplay, and following it closely, you realize that the "many moons pass" transition actually covers only a few "moons" - between 30 and 60 days
The time span of the game is randomized but never actually covers more than ~7 months

Yeah... But if the orbit of the moon is correct, any fading moon can be bloody. Our Moon is slightly tilted from the axis connecting Sun and Earth, which is why moon eclipses are rare.

My impression is actually different
Almer is aware that Dalbert is aging, but he's kind of shoved that back into his subconscious. He wants to get Dalbert free, very urgently. Basically, before he dies, and if you asked him in those terms, he'd agree.
But Dalbert's actual death wouldn't be something he'd consider. That's where his faith is. I think Almer believes, without even considering otherwise, that Dalbert won't die in the Downside.
