I found it interesting how, in Greg's answer to how technologically advanced the Commonwealth was during q&a hour, he specifically mentions "no flying machines." Which, actually, isn't surprising, since according to the Book of Rites the Blackwagons were originally Lu Sclorian's idea as an invention of necessity for getting around the Downside, not to mention everyone's reactions to airship mode like it's clearly their first time flying by machine, but it's still funny to think that the Downside of all places has the more advanced technology, at least in transportation.

I don't feel like it brings anything to the gameplay and it's just that one time where you gotta do something outside of a trial, looks weird to me. I have noticed something quite strange with my friend and I'm not sure if it's just some mistake from Supergiant Games team or is it intentional. There are some missing pages in Book of Rites. For example there are pages 39 and 40 but the next pages aren't 41 and 42 but 43 and 44. Another bigger example - there are pages 61 and 62 but the next ones are 65 and 66. Anybody noticed it before?

I'm experimenting with the PS4 controls, (I've gotten quite good, which I'm happy about) and MAN, Ti'zo feels incredible to move with those controls! For some reason I could never get a handle on him the first time I played Pyre, and have hardly used him at all. Part of me feels bad about that...but I LOVE using his abilities with the PS4 controls, they feel so smooth and now I've warmed up to him a lot!!! So... I just had an epic battle. Longest Rite I ever conducted
Rite story time:
To kill time every now and then, I do random rites in VS mode against the AI. A couple minutes' distraction (usually) while I wait for other stuff to happen
Random stage, no Talismans (AI has no idea what to do with a cursed talisman), 4 Masteries, and random triumvirates
And, most important, customization OFF. I have no idea who's going to be on my team, their team, or what anyone can do.
SO
I've got Volfred, Manley, and Ignarius on my side, facing off against Tamitha, Hedwyn, and Lendel
Rite starts, and I Blink forward with the saps, then sprout. So, already 40% of the field is my team's aura.
Tamitha gets her shield when striking, but she just charges into the middle of the aura field and gets banished
She tries flying over, but one of the Saps is always near enough to the pyre to knock her into a sapling aura
Ignarius lunges forward, banishing Hedwyn. And it turns out he's got Relentless Vigor and Long Stride, so I can immediately sprint across the field and banish Lendel
BUT I've invoked Shax Six Shoulders
You see where this is going
15 minutes of banishing these guys, only to have them come back all the fiercer
In the end, I lost, because I had all the other Titan stars invoked too

Key is to keep them right near the pyre, almost inside it, and keep your sapling between your pyre and the guy wiuth the Orb
That way if they try to jump in, you bounce them into the sapling aura
Or if they throw it, you can catch it, blink into the sapling aura, and just hide on the other side of it so their cast gets reflected
