Btw I feel like sometimes people take everything that is being said too seriously. For example Boxer saying that "process must like it here more than where it came from". I've read someone claim (or even wiki?) that the process comes from a different reality which it doesn't like. Like, nope. It's just a phrase. I can't see it having greater meaning than Boxer just making a commentary. Especially because the process has always been in the Cloudbank, just more behind the scenes.

I came here just to spread a warning of something I've come across
Depending on which functions you choose, once you reach the second backdoor, if you do the Stability Test last, you will softlock the game

As in, there will be no access point in cloudbank, there will be an encounter with 4 enemies, and all you'll have is Charm, Mask and Jaunt
In addition, because you will have left a backdoor, it will have saved
This is over 1 hour of progress lost

I was replaying Transistor recently (haven't played in several years) and oh man it still upholds very nicely
I love it so much, frankly.
On my 2nd recursion, thinking about getting a bit further tomorrow. The ps4 version if anyone needs to know-- also one of my favourite parts is that it seems to be the only game that really really uses the PS4 controller speaker and lightbar in a way that's entertaining
The light bar has like varying degrees of "lighting up" when the Transistor talks to you
And it isn't just a lazy "Turn brighter for the entire duration of Transistor speaking" it seems like it actually... like... it lights up/down according to the volume. Like it flashes how it does in-game. When you're looking at the Transistor and he speaks, the model seems also have varying degrees of light. It mimic the model getting brighter/darker that pretty much perfectly.
I like that. Feels a bit more immersive. Andddd look at me ramble to no-one-in-particular.

Not sure if Recursion is really canon. In case it isn't it's more of an easter-egg, it's shocking and very fitting at the same time.
Thinking about it, canon recursion would fit the "it's Transistors all the way down" idea, that Cloudbank is inside a Transistor and that a new Cloudbank is built in the country. Because why recursion and not "new loop cycle"? It isn't really the same. Recursion implies that the new "loop" is started inside of the old one hmmm.

few years ago on i went back and stayed at my mom's place for few days during christmas
one evening i was kinda bored so i hooked up my laptop to her 55inch tv in the living room and fired up transistor || i kinda wanted to hear how it would sound like on a 5.1 surround system and it was just 😙 👌 || - it's such a comfy game for moments like that
and even though she doesn't speak english at all
and she absolutely despises video games
she still joined me and watched almost the whole thing
just enjoying the music and pretty pictures and stuff

Transistor will probably remain one of my top rated games forever. The soundtrack, the story, the characters and game design...Everything was loveable. Everything to die for. I have trouble finding bad things about Transistor. I think there's one view you can get of Red's face that looks a tiny bit funny? That's it? But that's a thing in every game so uhhh.. Welp. Guess that means it's only a fantastic game. I wish I could relate in the way you guys did, and cry, and truly get sucked in like that... I envy how personally you could feel the game, and I suppose that's my own form of relation.
There's no doubt though, that despite feeling this envy for my lack of true connection, that it's left an impression. After all, you don't play through the game 3 or 4 times when you dislike it. And I totally second that Crail, the boss fights were phenomenal. Admittedly, I managed to find some pretty cheaty combinations so they were a bit easy (and I almost one shot The Spine 😅 ) but they were wonderful story telling experiences

Yeah it was to do with Void. I think it was Crash, then Mask, and then Breach, but the Breach was modified with another mask for that cripsy backstab damage. All I know is I got the achievement for 2048 damage in a hit/turn (whatever the achievement specifically is) and that fight was where it happened. It's been at least 2 or 3 years for me so I can't remember that well
