@digital peak the "decks" are actually part of how the game gives you the functions and upgrades. I believe there is some kind of multi-player in the sense that sometimes you see ghostly figures moving around as if they're playing

@crystal barn the thing is that there's some c code in between the lua code, and the lua code doesn't behave like lua for stuff like error catching, so it's a pain to work with

@olive elm I was upset with the ending at first too. But I shifted pretty fast during the credits just realising she was ||with boxer again in the transistor and able to spend eternity with him. I definitely had that initital feeling of like....loose ends and missed oprotunities, and the fact you don't get any real justice against what the camereta did. While whatching the credits though I got this intense vibe of just, "oh. But Red didn't care about that, she just wants Boxer and her voice back." ||

Quick question regarding the Transistor.
From my understanding, people sort of live on in the sword. Kind of like how Red has "the Country" in there.
But the way that people are absorbed into the Transistor implies that they are also isolated from each other.

Does that mean that Red would be in her own isolated world at the end after being absorbed?
And that Unknown wouldn't be there with her, as a result?
I know that they show Red and him together in the end, but I was wondering if that was the real him.

I also find it interesting that Unknown has consciousness of himself-as-Transistor.
I always wondered if he's special and something of a dominant personality in the Transistor.
Because Sybil and Red were close, even though they were drifting apart. Red should have been able to hear her if that's the case.

Clearly today's a day for feelings, because I just thought of what that would imply.
It would mean that Unknown exists as the Transistor's consciousness outside of his own world. So not only does he know that he's isolated from the real Red, he's trapped as the sword's consciousness.

I’d agree it’s kind of a hive mind, but you do make a good point about Luna, there’s something very distinct about that fetch and I’m not sure how or why she’s like that. Switch() conceptually doesn’t seem too weird for me, if the Process has some kind of FOF system, it just swaps those designations around temporarily

Maybe Luna is one of the first Process forms that’s been individually altered by the Camerata. When they use the Transistor to ‘do a thing’ to the city, I imagined it came across as a general command, like “local Process do X.” Maybe Luna is an instance of a function that reads “this Process form do X,” even if it’s not really how the Process usually works. Hence why she hangs out in the Sandbox like a kind of ready-room to be summoned to anywhere in the city

my hc is that the Sandbox is a space Royce and Sybil kind of collaborated on; Royce was fine with it being a minimal holodeck kind of space to mess around in with the Transistor, but then Sybil found out about it and was like "but what if beach!??!" so he coded up some scenery for it

or maybe Royce was like haha "sandbox mode let's make it a beach" and Sybil added the more personal touches like the hammock and stuff

Hi guys. I was shooting for 100% achievements on Transistor because I love the game and thought it'd be fun to do, so I started a fresh save. Towards the end of the game, my home internet went down for a day and I was playing with Steam in offline mode. (Yep, you can now see where this is going...)

I beat the game, started Recursion, played through the game, beat Royce again, roll credits. Except, I didn't get the Goodbye() achievement because Steam was in offline mode. (I didn't know it wouldn't award achievements if it was offline for a singleplayer game :/ ) .

Right now, I'm on the screen post-credits where the game offers you the choice of beginning Recursion again or quitting to desktop. It appears as if the trigger for the achievement is before this point, and nothing I did (reloading, quitting, starting another recursion and playing a little) gives it to me.

Suffice to say, I'm kinda miffed. As much as I enjoyed Recursion (Flood is stupid OP) I really don't have it in me to finish the game a third time. If any of you kind souls could upload a Recursion save file just before Royce (or as close as possible) I would really, really, REALLY appreciate it.

Where are your save files located? They should be in Steam\userdata[Your steam ID]\237930\local. They'll be named Profile[number] with the extension .sav.
