What not combine turn() and super user? Turn activates and then it shows the sequence play out of keying up an attack such as "breach jaunt crash (for the sweet backstab combo) then finish with super user"
I see it more in the vein of like king dedede's final smash with a mini cinematic would love to see the humming added during turn() too

I think humming might be nice for a taunt, but the'd probably have to restrict it to only certain songs. Either that, or they could some how fully digitize the humming so it could be stored as a sequence for each song, rather than audio.

I wonder if the developers used a consistent face model for Red. When I first saw the game's thumbnail on PSN, I was enchanted because Red looked very much like my ex fiancee (wow it's been a while. We weren't even engaged then). I'm sure the color scheme and the pretty lady alone were more than enough to have me look at the game but that fact just made a much stronger case for me to do so. When I did play the game I was a tiny bit disappointed for a little while when I saw that she looked different. That's about the only nit pick I can possibly say about that game and it's surely exclusive to me. I'd love to thank everyone that entertained the Smash conversation, more so the developers behind Transistor. It's sad that not enough people around the world had the privilege of being exposed to this beautiful piece.

But like I LOVE how all the characters feel so human. Every last one of them I can empathize with. From Royce's want for greater understanding to red's love for boxer. Sybles unrequited love for red and her desire to feel truly close to someone. And Asher and Grant's love for there city only wanting the best for those around them and there willingness to go to any length.

And the music and the emotions and meanings behind them are a masterpiece. In circles is filled with such sorrow, pity and contempt for red that every lyric cuts like a knife. And paper boats just pulls you into the feelings red felt throughout the while journey she has her path set for her and she'll do anything to be with the one she loves as fate compels her and in the end she knew she only had one choice.
I just cant get over how connected the while city feels and I love how utopia it feels on the surface but every look at the lore shows just how dark cloudbank can be. Where only the majority rules anyone who doesn't fit is outcast and seen as nonexistent like boxer who is part of the 0%
But despite all of that the love that EVERYONE including all those lost prior to the game have for the place they call home and the want for it to be better is amazing.
It's funny how complicated the story is portrayed because when you get down to it it's really just about people doing the best they can to protect what they love and about the lengths they will go and that's just... really truly is beautiful

and the relaxation and infinite sense of calmness and security is what motivated Red to do what she did in the ending
supergiant are great at showing emotions and context through gameplay and by reflecting the tone of what inside the transistor is like, it doesn't need to be explained why Red prefers it
they're nice breaks from the tension in the story and from Red's point of view a godsend
I like to believe that the sandboxes reflect the peace and tranqulity living in the transistor would be like in the ending and helps the player understand red's motives a bit more, the player may want the story to continue and see where it leads but Red was forcfully dragged into this and i don't remember much about her but i think she just wants a life of peace and freedom with her boyfriend and friends
It also explains why the process can't get to it because the sword is in her possesion
at least, that's my interpretation
I guess to back it up, Red has complete control over the things she can do in there, she can change a music box, open doors and do challenges at her own pace, the doors being locked is a mechanic thing but the idea and purpose is still there
to be fair, supergiant games have an awesome sense of character motivation vs player motivation
In bastion, it wasn't especially there due to the fact he was more of a projection but in transistor and pyre, you play as more fleshed out characters with their own motivations, red just wants to be rid of this and alot of people disagree with the ending because it goes against what they wanted and that's fine, but you can't call it bad writing/ending that the character followed her motivation to the end. In pyre, it's less about that conflict of player vs character and more about working alongside it. The player motivation is to see the plan suceed but that's heeded alongside a multitude of characters and their motivations. Their motivations can sometimes conflict and get in the way of the plan technically but the difference is you own the power, not them. I dunno, i'm really tired but i just figured i'd get some of my thoughts out

I LOVE the mood of the transistor soundtrack and you might notice this drum beat and title are a very obvious nod to the song “Old Friends” (though someone else named it, years ago) I was specifically instructed “make it sound like this song” but since then I have worked to make it sound like more my own thing. you can see the influence of that soundtrack on all my work, though. the slow driving half-time beat. the airy reverb on chordal tones. the dirty bass. originally meant as a placeholder i never got over how the beat drops the backbeat on every other 4. I could dweeb out about this for hours.

I complete 2 walkthroughs (and recommend doing so to everyone, 2nd feels really different for me) and want to complete all achievements (switch on all modifiers and get all functions stories), but not sure if i want to do it on my own XD

I met a sub goal, so I'm streaming all three Supergiant games once I can get to them. My advice: Let Transistor speak for itself during its big moments. If you're gonna do a second playthrough, and want to bring on a compadre, have the first run be story-oriented and solo, and the second be achievement-oriented and with said friend.
