hello! i’ve gotten a bunch of new ships recently and wanted to reorient myself. i’m still on chapter 6 in campaign just bc i haven’t really been focusing on that though i probably should. taking the past aurora noctis (?) event as context, i’ve been able to clear everything until D-1 easily, and was eventually able to clear it on auto search consistently after bringing the threat down to safe. just wanted to know which fleets i should aim to invest in based on my box.

sorted by rarity. i’m getting close to Dev 30 on monarch, and just farmed out a Duke of York.
Definitely invest in Perseus, shes gonna carry you through the entire game
great, i’ve been focusing on raising howe and perseus since getting them in the rerun a few days ago
monarch and DoY are useful for boss fleets
i was wondering what the ideal fleets would look like. i assume perseus would be in the mob fleet, and monarch or duke of york would be the boss fleet flagship?
Most of the time you want a strong barrage BB as Flagship, since a lot of barrages require them to be in the middle position to maximize it's damage
Monarch is one of them
monarch howe dork would cover your need for a BB fleet in opsi, they're all good
Only monarch needs flag there anyway
As for CV's you can never go wrong with Enterprise. Also Formidable has a unique skill which prevents enemies from moving for a very short time. Makes it way easier to land BB barrages, vanguard torpedos or those homing torpedos from other CV's
would enterprise also be for bossing? so switching between enterprise and BB fleets for bossing?
Yeah Enty is really good for bossing
just make sure her skill reached level 10
Her damage output is just really high when her skill activates, which it does most of the time
i've mostly just been using a general purpose mob fleet + boss fleet for events and campaign so i'm not too familiar with changing fleet compositions. would i basically keep the same vanguard in the boss fleet and replace the back 3 with enty + formidable + someone else?
compared to using monarch duke howe
rather than formidable, i would prefer Ark royal since Formidable's slow cant always be usable since hers duration not that much
but Ark royal needs her retrofit
got it, i've heard that ark royal is useful so i've been saving her dupes
in cases where i'm using enty ark royal would i still be using monarch as flagship?
yes, her barrage is centered so its a must
alright. then for the mob fleet would i use duke of york when not using her in the boss fleet? and add on perseus
just in case u need guide, u can use this even it's updated last February
it would be best to use someone like hood
dork doesn't offer much in the mob fleet tbh
what makes a battleship better for mob versus bossing? ability to use their barrage more often?
their skills
dork for example buffs other damage, not really useful on mob since you will overkill them if you do more damage
hood is good for mobs because of her barrage with a large area
u can use perseus and chise asukaga for ur mob fleet with 1 BB like hood
got it, good to know
percy + chise seems a bit too much preload
I suggest buying indep from the core shop if you can
percy+indep can be an endgame mobbing fleet already, just chuck in a random BB there
just realized how easy it is for new players to get really strong ships nowadays thanks to shops and PR catchup/coins
alright! just spent some core data buying one of those gold bb shells but i'll buy independence next
what about for the vanguard ships?
imo for boss, (left to right); portland, ayanami, helena
for mob: heinrich, laffey/z23/z46, london
heinrich helena sandy for boss
portland rikka laffey for mob
level siruis as well for a CV boss fleet
does rikka have her gears?
yes i have all the gears from the event!
rikka is universal, literally for any fleet
rikka is good for mob, I use her for W14 so she's a good investment
make sure put your DD in the middle, that position will receive more less damage than left and right
