oh, it's a currency you get for doing chapter missions on "hard mode" you use it to get some equips and sometimes ships, but right now; Independence is the only ship in the core shop worth getting.

If you don't have it, I don't know who I Could recommend instead of Yorktown. I'd say Ranger, but idk.

oh okay. I don't think I could recommend much in the way of changing your fleets besides getting Independence, just, all the SRs Rajaku mentioned are pretty good.
For your elites; Z23, Saratoga, and London are pretty good
Youll probably want to level up Portland for the exam things. You can use that to get someone like Enterprise who is an excellent carrier to have.

There's certain anti-sub gear in the game. I don't think you will have to worry about it much early on. Some events have it, use light cruisers and destroyers and they should do some damage to them.
If you clear these once at any time; you can get something called the "hedgehog" which should deal with any submarine stuff, except for the hardest chapter in the game. Then you'll need something else too.
