Yeah, it's exactly what Sedna said. You need to limit break at least your non-SR ships. You need to use either another copy of the ship, or a universal bulin, to make them stronger

SRs like Enterprise use gold bulins, anything purple or lower use purple bulins
If you go to that page, you'll also see what limit breaking does. It increases their stats, and sometiimes even gives more gun mounts, specifically the first LB for Hyuuga and Penny, and more planes for Enty
It also enables the All Out Assault for your vanguards, which gives them a barrage, which usually does a pretty good amount of damage

Anyway, it's not the end of the world, just save them for now or use them to limit break the ships you're currently using
I'd also probably recommend picking up Unicorn from the guild store. She's in Elite Ships
I'd also make sure to enhance your ships; they don't get all of their stats unless you do

Any commons. I just use the Fill button. Typically I prioritize carriers, since it's only other carriers that give AVI, but other than that, whatever works
