not that they're a hard requirement but I would suspect if you only have one that you're probably pretty gear defficient as well which may not help matters

so some extra time to help sort that out would help

Yeah, I figured. I had to get good mauling W14 to full 3* it in the end with my jank gear lol. Assuming gear wasn't an issue though, does my dock have the pieces i'd need to make it through?

just for a near future clear though you'd be looking at something like
Mob: Musashi, Unicorn, Aquila, Z52, Shimanto, Jeanne d' Arc
Boss: Izumo, Amagi, Shinano, Anchorage, Cheshire, San Diego
Support Fleet: Illustrious plus 2 of whichever of these you have that can be MLB
