3 dorm slots is enough, what he needs at the late game is the 2nd floor and all dorm expansions full, because the 4th slot and so on is expensive

just stick with leveling up your ships on lower levels and grind till your ships reach the said level to deal higher levels, also you might have more tech boxes in the way and more equipments to craft and receive

after all The higher the level you have, the more dmg and stats you get and the less they deal damage to you, this also happens the same vice versa if Enemies have higher levels than your ships

a tip that he can grind Hard mode daily as long as he can do it bcs he can get retrofit resources and core date currency, but your prio is always leveling up your ships and Max Limit break them to your capacity if your ships reach lvl 70

ur hard mode is on w3 and ur normal is on w8, u can go stright to w8 hard as long as everything before w8 normal is 3 star

say if u have 2 star in w6 then ur hard mode will only be avaliable untill w5
