#building ship for noobs

People will need to know in what context the fleet you're building is.
Campaign/META/Opsi?
Boss fleet? Mob fleet?
Yeah, 1 boss 1 mob. I'm not the best at building fleets so I hope someone else can answer.

If you haven't, this website has a good guide for everything and an outline for fleetbuilding. I don't know how reliable it is though.

Unicorn (decent healer, after retrofit amazing healer & mobber, HIGH PRIORITY)

Helena (bossing, after retrofit survivability increases alot, not a big priority early)

Nelson (okayish bb, after retrofit great BB with great mobbing)

Saratoga (decent mobbing, after retrofit gets better, after augment becomes great overall, expensive investment early game)

Laffey/z23/Javelin (starter dds, okay performance but after retrofit become decent, have augments to buff them further)

Enterprise (her double damage skill still makes her competitive with URs at bossing)

Prinz Eugen (bad damage output, but very tanky)

Richelieu (has preload so great at mobbing, decent allround)

Noshiro (decent tank despite being a light cruiser, torp buffer)

All the Super Rare/Gold To Love Ru collab ships are decently strong and good to raise

Portland (good tank, after retrofit becomes the gold (not literally) standard for vanguard tank ships, HIGH PRIORITY because she's easy to get and invest into) [Guild Shop - 200, or Map Drop]

Independence great support CV, after retrofit becomes an amazing mobber) [Core Data - 800]
