i should also mention my tai yuan isn't 200 affinity yet

so far tai yuan's damage is a lot more consistent overall, while also being higher than yuudachi every single time
there's only that one run where yuudachi got close
the nature of torps vs guided missiles but even on a good torp run yuudachi got mogged

Yeah, that's what it looks like to me. Her barrage is pretty busted, and it goes off all the time. That said, Poi should still be tankier right?

honestly not as significantly tankier as i think we think
tai yuan has 2497 HP, 243 EVA (+10% from skill), and 71 luck
yuudachi has 2038 HP, 286 EVA, 32 luck, and various shit from her skills
5% evasion rate is pretty tiny though

I think it’s pretty safe to say Tai Yuan is better than Yuudachi
and a top 3 DD on her own merits
it’s tough for me to acknowledge that Kazagumo is up there because that’s a slippery slope that leads to “Helena is the strongest ship in the game”
in terms of personal damage she’s top 2 for sure behind shimakaze, maybe better than shima against light but I don’t really have any way of testing that
She definitely does more damage than Laff2 but Laff2’s full kit is so busted that you can’t really weigh her on damage alone
I expected yuudachi to at least win once but she honestly got completely smoked
and Tai Yuan’s damage was far more consistent overall

mebot's eHP sheet isn't updated, i've reached out to him to get an idea of how much tankier yuudachi than TY
she's almost surely a bit tankier but i don't think it's by a ton
kinda hard to calculate though since both of these ships have some conditional mit
like what's better these days, -15% shelling damage or -15% burn damage
