My meme post about Essex was deleted by Admin, twice, without telling a reason first.
It was not no context meme either, chat included Essex in the conversations at that time.

So the Admin they said something like
Rule:

  1. No meme

But as I go read rules, there were no word about meme in the #rules channel(As of June 2nd 2023 10:06 GMT+7)

Admin said it was a kind of spam which left me curious because spam to me meant repeatedly sending same word, emote, etc. many times, but mine was not.

If meme is not allow in the main chat or whatever, it better to included in #rules.

This was me asking after got deleted twice

#

If one meme is considered as spam.
I don't know what to say anymore.

#

I posted it as a joke to these conversations

#

So it was not no context

At the top of the rules channel it says something to the effect of "some channels may have different rules, read pins and channel description before posting". I'm assuming this was in #al-general which in the channel description says "No memes."

Ahh so there it was

#

But I will still suggest.
Just add it in the official rules.

#

As I read I felt that the flow of related topic(s) is confusing here
-The mods team has the final say in how the rules applied.
^Some person, a person like me, most likely to start skip reading this sentence because of it been use in other communities widely.

So a person, person like me, will most likely skip this:
-Some channels may have different rules from rules listed here.
as a whole too.

#

I suggest

#

^Just put it under here will be much more noticeable.
Because ppl will just scroll down to somehow, do some reading after this row.

My suggestion will end here.
As for the result of getting messages deleted, I am now understand it too.

I was under the impression that it refered to off-topic meme culture rather than AL-related memes. Hence I asked Takagi for clarification once.

On a side note, if I browse the last hour there's a bunch of jojo gifs, the formi going through the world post. And shortly behind is a preseus sus meme.
And as I write this, a few more gifs show up.

I'm curious as to what exactly is being defined as a meme and up to moderation and what is not.

Essex memes are more harshly enforced against as in the past people would spam them a lot, and #sandy-general had a red mod come in to shut the essexposters down as they had made the channel 99% Essex
