#Make a forum for tech-support

I actively use #tech-support as this reminds me of things I did in the past as a moderator and helper at other games, however sometimes it's a little difficult for me to address issues, especially when there are too many people talking at the same time. Sometimes I easily get lost or I'm simply unable to comprehend the issues people have clearly because the conversation is progressing too quick. This is more evident when there are big patches and game updates and people rush to ask for help.

I think it would be more convenient to make a forum and archive the #tech-support channel, this way people can easily find answers to known issues and their solutions.

I think this forum idea should apply to #bug-reports as well, given that channel has a lot of traffic with people reporting bugs

#

plus it puts together the same bug that hasn't been known and easily traceable instead of people posting the same bug over and over again

I agree with the forum, though I disagree with archiving the #tech-support channel.

The forum makes sense for most situations that players have, and in a ready way. Theoretically this should reduce the clutter between convos by a lot

#

And #tech-support should still be there for some other cases not normally solvable with the issues already solved in the forums.

Maybe it's just me being overly cautious, but tech-support needs to be literally as accessible as humanly possible, for people who have absolutely no experience using discord, but still joined just to get help with their issue. And I feel like forums aren't super easy to navigate through papayathink
We'll discuss it tho, I definitely see the benefit to it.

Tho I will add that we're not going to keep both channels if we do make it a forum. It's either or.

Ok after a brief discussion - there's a number of limitations with using a forum that we'd rather not deal with, so instead we going to enable threads in #tech-support , meaning any user can just create a thread in there so it's easier to follow several conversations at the same time.

#

That should be a good middle ground InaNod
