Hi, so apparently discord has a new feature where you can message request someone, and I’m having people from the server doing it, it’s just as bad as ‘random friend requesting’. Any opinions on whether it should be deemed a thing within rules?

Showing this a proof thing, this is one of the ‘safe ones’ I’ve gotten

What? It's literally same as someone just dming you tho? Just with a different notification. I'm missing your point, sorry.

if theyre not your friend, DMs will automatically be on “accept or delete” basis starting as a recent discord update, unless theyre sending you spam, it shouldnt be an issue
if you dont want DM requests from people, you can disable them in servers
this server its just specific its highly recommended to leave it on because of our bot’s messaging system

My point being behind it is, can it be exploited like scams do?

It’s a new feature so idk if it’ll have exploitable areas

As I said - those are just dms.
So we'll treat it same way dms are.

There's nothing special going on here that requires us to note it in any special way.
