I tried looking up Azur Lane characters in a friend’s server, and got this… does anyone know why the devs requested they be unobtainable?

Don't believe devs ever announced publicly the reason for that, but my assumption would be because Mudae is a monetized bot, meaning they're earning money by using copyrighted material. Which is generally considered to be "illegal".
