I’ve seen that some people have an Ashes/META role assigned to them, but when I looked at the roles list in #bot-spam, they didn’t have Ashes or META on the list. Can someone explain?

There's no Ashes/Meta role, but its icon is used for beta tester role. There's no way to obtain it now.

Honestly, I think it's about time we did add that role due to us already having the Siren Role already, even if the icon is used for the Beta Test Role doesn't mean it can't be used for this role as well does it?

Faction roles exist first and foremost as cosmetic roles for role icons.
META's role icon is already in use and available as role icon, albeit for an exclusive non-assignable role.
Consider it a limited time-exclusive content and you already missed the opportunity

The only collab faction that has their own icon is Nep, others just use generic collab faction, which doesn't make much sense to add.

But since it's not actually used for anything - we prolly decided not to.
I have plans to rework roles a lil bit in the future and I'll keep in mind universal faction role for then.
