just try a different cable
that dud 1060 you bought might have damaged the cable
as unlikely as that might be
Wtf
you can also try to continue reseating the cable but idk how much that would help
kick it?
I was holding onto the pin with the paperclip
It reset
The PC
And it started working

get a new case or a power button thing
that way you can just reboot without jumping the motherboard headers
Yeah I need a new case fast
lol
its cheaper than a case
and considering Aria's monitor dies and seems to require a restart...
I think the motherboard got pushed
It's Perfect radian,fashion cool (sic)
get a new case cause im not gonna teach you how to tap holes in to your case to properly mount it
lol
Also inb4 bot ends up pulling an Aria
Imagine if you made Z23 blacklist Aria when he comes online, and remove his blacklist when he's offline.
ez
(yeah he could just go invisible, but it'll be funny)
It's like Z23 is protecting herself.

Wow bunch of scrubs
ur not the one to talk
Oh remember when I said there was a buzzing noise mith
Its actually the case opening part

Ye
yep i remember suggesting that possibility
It's an old case
my glass panel does that if I don't screw the screws tight
my shit is hinged and magnetically held in place
luckily it has rubber piping
Ugh I kinda need to switch mice, my current one has the ergonomics of a mouse from the early to mid 90's.
This thing doesn't hold up for long gaming sessions.
I'm using a Logitech G305, it's got the same shape as the mechanical Microsoft Wheel Mouse 1.0 PS/2 mouse I have in storage...
And my hand is too fucking big for this thing.
ill be going to washington on thursday and coming back on monday. So i would have accumulated enough for a PSU and case

Fuck it, I'll just get a Logitech mouse shitty double clicking microswitches be damned, I'll just replace the switches when they fail.
Cause apparently it's an issue with Omron microswitches and a few manufactures use them.
I never found my mouse double clicking
but it does have scroll issues bcz of firmware
it seems to be with gaming mice within the last 2 years or so i think
i havent bought a good gaming mouse in a few years so i havent encountered it myself either but all the customer reviews and stuff i've been check when i was shopping around report this double clicking issue
Yeah I'm eyeing the G502 Lightspeed
But the current (non old-stock) G502, G702, G903 all have this issue.
i never get “gaming” mice
well I'm running the 703
but i do stick with logitech
all i need are my side buttons

you do you
macros can go on the keyboard

Not on my keyboard lmao
unless i AHK or do some lua script
but that is an auto
in some games
But yeah the issue isn't on Logitech's end it's teh OMRON D2FC-F-7N microswitch from what I can dig up.
are macro'd kbs more expensive
And it might only be some batches so I'm like hail mary here goes.
I've seen a few for cheap.
But probably rubber domes or some shit.
I've gone without macro keys for a while, used a 60% then a TKL and now I'm back to a full sized...
Here's the cheapest mechanical keyboard I can find with macros, new in box from the US.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Alienware-Advanced-Gaming-Keyboard-AW568-with-Alienfx-RGB-Lighting-System/163691320404?hash=item261cc35454%3Ag%3AJ~8AAOSwjQ5c3GHD&LH_ItemCondition=1000
It's some Alienware thing with generic brown switches.
browns are terrible

linear all the way
reds or busy
bust*
why buy a mechanical keyboard if you're gonna use linear switches
I have my custom keyboard with MX blues, browns and blacks
Where’d you get it?
I had one but it was one of the older phone jack buses, not even PS/2
probably a terminal model
with the RJ45?
Soarer's converter and it should be good to go
yeah, that kind of port
oh this was a loooong time ago
well before that guy even started selling them on ebay
at least iirc
ah
so back when Model Ms were near worthless and everywhere like thrift stores and garage sales?
if I had a time machine...
old school sound cards
the northgate omnikey
graphics cards
thank all these retro channels too for
bringing more attention
to all of the retro junk
inflating their value each time

like you tell me old ISA cards would be worth more than scrap...
man, I wish I did enough research when I bought my keyboard
now I'm stuck with brown switch while I and my brother both agree that red feels better

You might want to consider MX Blacks, they're linear like Reds but with a higher actuation force, 60 cN vs 45 cN.
MX Silvers are also similar to Reds but designed the to be shorter than traditional MX switches and they're marketed towards gamers.
I mainly use it for typing though 🤔
could always find a switch tester
for all we know you may end up liking Gaterons or Torpre
Gaterons are Cherry MX clones, but some people claim they feel better than new Cherry switches.
People get picky af with this shit.
hm
If I ever go with a newer keyboard I'm gonna get something with Kailh Box Navys even if I have to build it myself.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cbf1-IWGvvk
It's actually surprising how similar the crude mod feels to Navy, just isn't as bassy and doesn't really click on the way back up.
They're heavy and loud as fuck
they denote what type of action is in them
if it's linear, clicky or tactile
and the amount of actuation force
don’t get browns

browns are supposed to be clicky but not tactile
which makes zero sense
might as well go all one way or the other
completely linear or tactile/clicky like the blues
or some of the more vague cherry switch colours
Ah, Youtube videos played via Unicode sent over IRC and 16-bit 32KHz stereo PCM audio piped through the controller ports of a SNES...
At a glorious 4fps for the video, but still
MX Browns are tactile but not clicky.
It's like a middle ground
yeah
Kailh Box Royals are apparently tactile, though I don't think there's an off-the-shelf keyboard with these more boutique type switches.
Matias are clicky too they're like Alps clones, though a bit uncommon as well.
For example some might like the feel of the Blues but need the quietness of the Reds
But you can fit old Apple keyboard caps on them.
There's also Topre which you can get off-the-shelf but a bit expensive compared to your average cheap mechanical keyboard.
"a bit"
I consider $200+ expensive for mechanical keyboard
It is, especially when you can get something like the Magicforce 68 for $40. https://www.amazon.com/Qisan-Mechanical-Keyboard-68-Keys-Magicforce/dp/B01E8KO2B0/
well, if you want go for brand names, you cant go wrong with shures
and sennheiser
but if you want bang for buck
go for chinese ones
don't really care about brand names as long as they sound good
and they also must have some sort of wireless ability
just in case
for wireless, you can always get iems with interchange cables so that you can just use a adaptor
Budget Earphone & Earbud Reviews
heres the site for trusted chifis
more often than not, chifis will sound on par with bg brands 3-5times the price
got any personal favorites or recommendations?
yes
ie800

for chifi no
but at your price point, you really cant go wrong with shure se 315 or 215

its pretty easy to get smth like this to make your shures go wireless
in fact shures are selling their 215 with this if im not wrong
interesting
so i just fixed a problem that should not have worked
backup battery at work had a "clamp short" and the manual said the user couldnt fix it, but i had already tuned it off and back on again and it worked
@quartz atlas I'll probably go to a store we have nearby to try out the shures and sennheiser
get those electrostatic IEMs

yeps that, people prefer different signatures. i decided on my ie800s cuz wide soundstage, and best in class bass
aren't those like 800$
ye
mine is the ie800 tho
not the ie800s
i keep forgetting the released a new vers of it
anyone might know how i would fix this?
ye, i fixed it by just grabbing the files and copying them instead of using the installer
wait the installer didnt have an overrride for negative space volumes?
i have no idea what youre talking about
it doesnt let me change the address
or press next
only back and cancel

how big is the drive youre trying to put it on?
uhh maybe its saying that it needs 265 MORE MB?
nah, the files are only 265mb
i have no idea, i was thinking maybe it was like a multiple terabyte drive and the size measurement was overflowing negative and it locked the whole thing but thats not it
thats what happened with my need for speed underground 2 disc, it read the drive as having negative space but apparently they thought of that back in 2002 and made an overrride for it
smart devs
back when EA knew what they were doing
any of you have a reliable site to get a physical copy of windows 10 that's not usb? I'm not asking for grey market or cheap stuff, asking for legal, the legal, real deal, i just prefer to have the disk on hand
@vagrant holly https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

do create installation media
it will tell you to either burn to usb, or create ISO
ye i don't like the usb method

@vagrant holly you know
a CD can't fit a windows install image
last time I checked there weren't 6 GB CDs
there's a reason why they use USB drives now
ye i gave up and went for the usb option anyway
i ain't buying a dvd drive for this
ye i was just asking if i could just get a box delivered to me, and looking up on amazon is kind of a hustle since they are either suspiciously priced or usb keys or cds with keys that expire after 2 days
most reviews aren't very promising
rather just get off my ass and just go buy one instead if that's the way it is
you could use blu ray though
literally get it from microsoft
ik about the usb
was asking about the physical disk
just don't worry about it man, problem is solved

idk they haven't sold physical disks since win7
there are stores selling windows 10 physical disks
fakes
mine is genuine
@flint bobcat lack of power?
i was guessing that also
Lolwut
its when i try to wake it up from sleep
Yeah your guess is as good as mine, between the case and PSU
@quartz atlas got the 215s
ye

ok so i got enough money for the case and the PSU you recommended @stone wave
what do you have budget wise?
newegg is the way to go
i got FREE 2 day shipping from newegg cuz UPS packs their trucks full
btw if i actually paid for 2 day shipping it would be $75
but 5-7 days took only 2 days
CA
oof yeah that might take a while
I wonder if B&H charges sales tax in CA
uhhh is amazon's used?
I know they didn't in the past.
huh
the one that mith just posted
newegg is usually good with prices
the corsair one
For the case IDK... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079P1VBDY/ ?
@stone wave im getting this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GVL3CKJ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
No PSU shroud though
PSU shrouds are for people who dont know how to make wiring tidy
then you def dont wanna be fighting a shroud trying to move a mass of wires all over the place
ah
otherwise they'll just be hanging around in the bottom of the case anyways
wait but thats was $100 on newegg and it WASNT modular?
like a rats nest
was it platinum grade or something?
That's a great PSU for sub $65 though
620w, bronze plus, fully modular
and it doesn't seem to be the super low end ones that just have the seasonic name slapped on it
whats diff between modular and non-modular
you add only the wires you need
semi is just cpu and mobo power i think
doesnt matter if you ran dual ATis that needed 4 6 pins and you used every wire on a 750 w PSU
and thats why i know how to wire
what?
i had to use every single wire that came with my modular PSU because 2010 graphics cards eat so much power
bruh these were Radeon HD 5870s
and they had the sapphire coolers on them which have jet engine fans on them
it is when those eat 200w a piece
lemme pull up the calculator
I remember back then I had to worry about choosing between how many 12v rails and that shit
now it seems like i can randomly buy something and itll work
as long as it isn't some shit psu
150w a piece is what its saying
bcz back then components were shit
I think my current computer idles at around 100w...
what did u run that required 150W per connector
radeon hd 5870s
two in crossfire
the psu calculator showed a 298w difference when i added those
480 memes are still funnier cause those damn things could heat a house
and i dont mean that in a flattering way for the 480
my dell laptop could almost boil water when i played terraria
what specs did your laptop have? lol
well yeah it alligns with the 5870 specs
but it's still chump change compared to some special compute cards
yamato doesnt beleive my power succing cards
goes to check
"yep they succ power"
oh my laptop was a dell inspiron 15 r with some i3
yeah its sort of interesting to see how much power older high end parts eat
no idea what kind cuz it was before i got into computers
@severe falcon no 150W is nothing to how much top end cards nowadays pull
but i had a thermometer program and it read 90 C before kernel emergency shutdown
yeah i know that
a 2080 Ti or its AMD cousin can draw ez 500W
there's that one custom compute card I saw
it has it's own power supply
just to keep it fed
yeah but this was before i knew about wattage limits a bunch, i just got the cheapest thing that had enough 6 pin connectors and it was 750w while my rig needed like 650
yeah intel hd integrated graphics hated terraria on my laptop so it ran bruning hot
What are your preferences?
Linear, Tactile, Clicky?
MX style switches, Matias, etc.
Actuation Force?
Size, 60%, 65%, 75%, TLK, full-sized, other?
Misc. requirements such as RGB, marco switches, QMK programmability, microUSB, USB-C, plate mounted switches, media controls, volume knob
How do I explain this...
Mechanical keyboards have different types of switches for different feel and noise so most people tend to have a preference.
Some like each key press to be loud, some can't have it too loud, some just like a bit of physical feedback but not too much noise, and some are fine with neither.
i use regular keyboard, i dont like mechanical
If you're just buying off-the-shelf you're mostly limited to Cherry MX or Gaterons
with a ~$100 budget
If you can get away with a Magicforce 68 just get one of those off Amazon
if only razor had the smarts to make a program that works for all keyboards
go DIY with a kit that supports QMK
But yeah I hate the programs gaming keyboard and mice require.
I got that G502 Lightspeed the other day and the G-Hub software is straight shit.
i had to use a really old legacy program that razor had to mess with the rgb, cuz the new razor program WILL bluescreen my comp if my keyboard is plugged in
but its a lower quality razor, its just one color
though it changes the color if you press ctrl, shift, or alt, or any combination and theres no settings for that
so i got an LED message desk fan recently, and its cheap software to program it, but surprisingly it seems even though they just changed the UI from this master software, the master software doesnt actually work with it
🤷
with chonky ass Kailh Box Navy switches with their t h i c c click bar and my Maxkey Ashen SA R1 caps
my friend has something similar but like the whole bottom part of the keyboard is clear so the light goes everywhere
I'll probably disable the lights if I get a keyboard with underglow
It can get a bit distracting for me
lol even the item name has t h i c c in it
the real thing i like to be thicc is the mouse
i want to rest my entire hand on that thing
my old mouse was the perfect size but its middle click broke and i was doing ALOT of blender at the time
fine for casual stuff but if i were to pull a 5 hour gaming session, no
I'm using the G502 and it's nice.
and now that same keyboard mouse combo is listed as TWICE the price that it was 6 years ago, still brand new
Problem is the side clicks are squishy compared to modern mice, it's also heavy and the wireless is shit compared to Logitech's lightspeed mice.
so its 4 years ago
from $30 to $120 over 4 years for a non-mechanical single color light keyboard
i mean i got a wired logitech mouse as a replacement and the only one at the office depot was like $30
like how is wireless cheaper now
Shit... it wasn't cheaper for me...
well im talking about the generic non gaming stuff
lol yeah
but like HOW
BT or the deal that uses the dongle
the dongle
I guess since laptops are way more common now, there are more wireless mice being made.
but laptops are losing their USB slots tho
You can get some generic wireless mouse, a middle of the road one or a pretty nice one like a MX Anywhere 2s or MX Master 2s
like at this point it doesnt have 2 usbs, it has one logitech slot and one usb slot
If you get an ultrabook yeah.
Gotta go BT with the mouse or get a hub I guess
The current Logitech MX series mice do dongle and BT
Shape seems nice
yeah its definitely a permanent replacement reather than a temporary one
and the toggle button for the scroll wheel lock is the best part
I was using this, but the wireless version: https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Prodigy-Wired-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B06XNKPZLN/
not a fan
oof yeah it looks small
the only complaint i have on mine is that the buttons dont have a separating wall, so if you click both down, then they overlap and it causes problems if you try to release only one
it's exactly like the early 2000's mechanical Microsoft Wheel Mouse 1.0 I have laying around.
ill have to see about that devastator combo on amazon
cuz thats only a lil more than the one i bought but this time it can change color
How many side buttons do you need?
Cause this thing is only $36
It's wireless only though
using a dongle
so that might be a deal killer
see i just dont like wireless
like everything i have is wired because its so much cheaper and works way better
especially Xbox controllers
this one seems nice
imm a stick with mine and then probably get a devastator as a backup
Mine's fairly chunky
it's also got that free scroll button
You can order the mouse off of eBay
if you don't need the keyboard
The devastator mouse that is
i mean ill just get the set
So expensive
what $40 for a mechanical keyboard and mouse combo?
No that $300 mouse
that thing is rubber domes isn't it?

Oh that's cause that shit is discontinued Aria

well it says mem-chanical
It was like $80 for the original G700 and $60-70 for the G700s
Max I would pay for a mouse is $50
Aria how about this Alienware keyboard?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Alienware-Advanced-Gaming-Keyboard-AW568-with-Alienfx-RGB-Lighting-System/163691320404
ebay is sketchy tho
ive never been ripped off on ebay you just gotta know what to buy and what to avoid
true, i only bought one thing and while everything screamed ripoff it actually wasnt
i got my 2nd Radeon HD 5870 for $100 and boi it was worth its weight in gold
i occasionally buy cheap shit from china that takes 5 weeks to arrive
graphic cards are kinda sketch now if you're buying them used im
i do the same thing but thats usually on amazon because prime hates anime
cause of the whole alt coin mining craze
yeah this was 4 years ago though
Ask Aria about that
if you buy used, they better be a couple gens behind and not that famous
Instructions unclear I now have a Voodoo card.
does sapphire still make graphics card heatsinks?
err they make AMD cards thats about all i know
hmmm
The last ATi card I had was the x800
imma see if i can get those when i make my new build
cuz if sapphire still has the fan tech from my 5870s then BOI
ive never been so annoyed that it didnt show the gpu fan rpm
Then it was 9800 GT, which I then flashed to a GTS 240 and I got an actual GTS 240 to SLI, then I went 560 ti, GTX 970 then GTX 1080
i guarantee you that it was over 3000 rpm though
probably even 4000
those were jet engines
80% fan speed was audible through headphones across the room
yeah thats loud
but im not a cool n quiet person so i loved it
I fitted some high static pressure fans to my computer and cranked them to 100 to see what would happen
i could hear them with music playing through my speakers
but I was pushing like 36C with a high CPU load
i cranked them too 100 once and my roommate asked if my computer was gonna explode
I saw these for sale the other day: https://www.newegg.com/delta-afb1212ghe-cf00-case-fan/p/N82E16835213001?Item=9SIA4RE6HA8719
(don't actually buy these unless you know what you're doing)
The fan I linked is 5200 RPM with 240 CFM
it will short a standard motherboard fan header probably
well i have a fan controller
oh dear
but yeah this the sort of shit you NEED a fan grill
it'd require stitches if you touch the fan blade while the shit is on
Next I intend to find a way to put it in the stock ryzen cooler to see how much better the heat sink works without the weak fan. Then when I can afford it a ...
oh lemme tell you about my 240mm fans
i split my thumbnail with one of those 240mm fans going about 800 rpm
No idea if this has already been posted here or not
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bh_gP5aF3ys
The Apollo Guidance Computer is a pivotal part of computer history, and it was a key part of making it possible for Apollo to land on the moon. And elsewhere...
angular momentum is evil
but yeah that fan probably meant for servers
ok what does amd even make for graphics cards now
cuz like i thought R9 would mean current but its from 2013
@stone wave im thinking of getting the hyperx kb
Switching from tubes/valves to ICs and etc. lead to the "calculator wars"
which lead to the PC market
all interesting stuff
Err IDK much about the HyperX keyboard
They're MX Reds so they're linear (no clicky, no tactile bump)
and Reds mean they don't take too much force to actuate
browns have a tactile bump
Both have a 45 cN actuation force
but browns have a bump
I WANT TWO RIGHT NOW
only problem is that that card is double the price of the same card from another manufacturer
do you want tactile feed back from the key press before it actuates?
get one and water cool that sucker
just to flex it on people
nah crossfire is waifu
do games still support crossfire or sli?
doesnt matter, ive seen firsthand what it can do on a bunch of games
lol /shrug
like my twin 5870s from 2010 could beat a 970 when they were brand new
like when the 900s just came out
thats a 5 year gap to beating the 2nd most powerful card on the market
the problem i keeps seeing was one card would get pegged at 100
and the other sits at 0
didnt happen to me
i think cuz i had multiple monitors so both had to run anyway so it never hit that glitch
like i was playing Rocket league on ULTRA 60 fps, a single card couldnt handle that on its own
the problem is game developer support seems to be required to take full advantage of multi-gpu setups
and that's less common now than it was back then
or at least that's the impression i get
yeah devs are lazy
cuz thats also the case with cross platform multiplayer, the console companies are fine with it, but the devs have to implement it
i've never heard anyone say SLI or Crossfire is worth it in the past 3 years.
It usually goes something like, should I SLI/Crossfire this mid-range card or get a single good card and everyone recommends the latter.
i mean maybe those 5 year old graphics cards were just too good for nvidia to beat with their newest cards /s
Problem is Nvidia was stomping on AMD for a while.
Even now I wouldnt really recommend AMD
cause Nvidia has better driver support
cuz i have a 950 now and that thing cant run siege on the lowest setting and get a framerate above 50
same with the division, meanwhile those ATis were running the division BETA like it was nothing
The only graphics card I have die on me was my x800 :/
oh and since crossfire/sli doesnt add the ram together, it was the two atis with 1 GB vs the 950 with 3 GB
3 times the vram and not even half the performance
950 is a 960 with a quarter less cuda cores or something
heres the thing, imma go with a crossfire amd setup, and if it doesnt work out, i just save up and get a replacement
5700 XT?
cause i was about tosay
and a 2nd one will only be another $160
I think the 5700 XT ditched crossfire
meaning no Crossfire support from any new games moving forward
eh oh well
tbh they should just make crossfire be a hardware thing so it works with literally everything
Shit it took how long for Nvidia to be like OKAY, we now do FreeSync
i mean it would be like hyperthreading, even single thread stuff is auto hyperthreaded
like im honestly surprised we arent using more multi gpu stuff
Nvidia is working on some sort of new SLI
and honestly im surprised game devs didnt mess with it more
Cause $800 - $1200 graphics card, not too many will buy 2 of them
2 card crossfire/sli can basically half the frame drawing time
yeah but there are people streaming games playing at 144hz at 4k resolution
This is Nvidia's new shit NVLink
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/data-center/nvlink/
like SURELY we could benefit from crossfire and have the lower end cards bet way more powerful
The problem is the market is too small.
Most people are only going to buy 1 card and most pre-built manufacturers will only include 1 card.
true
tbh i only like hyperthreading cuz my python programs are running slowly
my work comp can beat my gaming desktop at running python programs
A pair of 580s will probably match or beat my 1080 where its supported
exactly
but... it isn't always supported so
and i will have paid a total of $320 for them
wait
does unreal have crossfire and sli support?
IDK but games moving forward on DX12 will need to specifically have multi-GPU implementation to support the new Radeon cards in multi-GPU configurations to work.
and I don't think those new Radeon cards will have backwards support for Crossfire (not that they need them since they're so much more powerful)
wow so UE4 doesnt have support for sli OR crossfire
you have to actually contact Nvidia or AMD to do it
I don't really get how it's done now a days.
but the new standard moving forward should be multi-GPU
well you have 2 options for crossli
and it has to be built into DX12 or Vulkan
you can do alternate frame rendering or half frame rendering
half frame is the only one where it could even work on UE4 cuz the engine uses info from the previous frame to draw the next one
well if we could figure out a way to make crossfire or SLI good for crypto mining, then there will be a reason for it to exist
its more reliant on the API than the engine
at least now a days it seems
e.g. https://hexus.net/tech/news/graphics/121844-amd-boasts-vulkan-multi-gpu-support-strange-brigade/
is vulkan the engine?\
its an API
like DX12
multiGPU is reliant on DX12 or Vulkan and whether or not the dev implements it
no thats why crossfire has been phased out
ah
and new cards support multiGPU
well your first problem is eliminating the devs from the equation
their answer is always a no on implementing things
if you look at that strange brigade benchmakr the 590 is on top
and it competes on tomb raider
yeah do you see that?
if crossfire is supported the top dogs have to bow to filthy low class scum
problem is the limited support
yeah the problem is the devs
do you get 1 2070 or 2 590s
if you make it supported ALL THE TIME
then your sales of lower tier cards jump, and then you market you already super expensive top tier cards for mining
cuz then you make the fx-6300/fx-8350 of graphics cards and laugh in $100 bills
Funny thing is that the huawei switch port count starts at bottom
I dont know other brands who has the same port counting as huawei
Aria doesn't know the struggle of non-NA countries and technology.
I'm sorry

If you're outside the US, Canada, UK + EU (YMMV), Japan, South Korea, China you're paying a premium and you have a smaller selection.
basically we have lower income but also lower cost of living
That too
Aussies and Kiwis are pretty well off but they pay a big markup for all their shit.
Yeah even software
same
but they can pay 50% to 75% more than in the US
my pc is about $100 above US prices
There's also countries like Argentina or Brazil, I think their consoles were/are more than what you'd pay for one in the US.
And the same for computer hardware I'd imagine.
Fuck if I know economics ain't my thing.

import costs
China has a booming market on the flip side.
You can get some random ass Chinese market motherboard and some Chinese market CPU and no one outside of China would have heard of it.
ah yeah
If you want to save money, blindly order something and wait a month for it to arrive you can go on TaoBao or where ever else and order PC parts.
want to know my pc parts prices?
for a RTX 2080 Ti you're going to spend about 1730$
and you have only 2 choices
either a MSI Gaming X Trio
or a Gigabyte card
oof EVGA is my go to for Nvidia cards
why would you need a stylus on a android
pressure sensitive stylus
Note series devices

cause the pressure sensitivity has to be built in as a digitizer
yeah
Cuz Imma wanna draw
you need a new phone that specifically has it
dammit
the display has to be both capacitive and reactive
cause the phone needs to have a digitizer to support pressure sensitivity
thanks though
even if it does have pressure sensitivity it's usually the display itself
not the pen that is sensitive
TL;DR drawing on a phone is a nightmarish idea
I know it is
u want portable drawing? get smth like this

The Huion thing is $300
Too bad they're about as un-repairable as something can get.
if you're dumb enough to break it
that thing won't die unless you either suffocate it or drop it from like 5th floor
but for on the go writing/drawing/whatever
it's quality
I usually take it to uni and write down my notes
or do CAD
The accessories are expensive IIRC like $100 for the typecover, and $85 for the pen.
¯_(ツ)_/¯
They quality but $$$
Still haven't apply springs to the pen for pressure sensitivity
springs?
drawing pens have springs in them yes

how else would the knub come back to it's original position after you press down
yeah they do
cause i used that shit for note taking and that was about it
ive never taken one apart or anything aside from trying to switch the nibs to see what they did

and you don't have to take it apart to remove the nib
yep
just pull it out from the front
so i never really noticed
oh yeah ipad pro would be an option for Zilf
I got no idea if those are any good
except the pen charges in a stupid way
at least he can play AL on it without an emulator i guess
dont that shit just run ios
yeah...
on consoles it's fine
since I'm playing vidya so I don't care about it
but on my phone/tablet? no thx
can you even sideload apps on apple mobile devices?
nope
yikes
unless you're a apple engineer
then you can with their special snowflake harness and software
Here's how much I know about iOS
This is my first smart phone: https://i.imgur.com/eVLuALn.jpg
my shit was the first Android phone in the US... it was also outdated after like 6 months lmao
you see that small chip in the bottom, that was the only time i ever seriously dropped a smartphone
the fucker rolled down a flight of stairs
and survived
Also I miss that fucking trackball. I might actually play AL on my phone if I could use a trackball like that.
also ipad pro is (unintentionally) the fastest mobile gaming device right now
get a surface
I might after my current laptop
but the prices for faster cpu one is so high
it almost rivals macbook pro
ye, they're going after the premium line
get an i7 surface pro and run nox or bluestacks on it
I want fast laptops for programming on the go
(i actually don't know how well AL on Nox/Bluestacks would run on integrated graphics, I'm just joking)
just get a i5
no need to get the i7
now that I can put all the gaming to my pc
it runs just fine on iGPU
Neptunia Series?
ye
I organised my servers
ye
whoa, we have folders now?
tell me that isn’t just another better discord plugin
@subtle hawk
does AC count as weeb shit
lol
I think my PSU died

I try turning on PC and it turns of after a second and restarts
And monitor won't turn on
I've checked my connections everything is good
I'm kind of scared since I'm going to Washington tomorrow, the latest shipping the case is Saturday but I'm gonna be home Monday

I don't want anyone to steal it
You guys have a lot of thing on desktop
I barely ever interact or even see my desktop anymore
Aria are you still being cheap?
Here's a random Outemu Blue switch full sized mechanical keyboard I saw on the BAPC subreddit, it ain't RGB it's Rainbow LED.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MNS9WZG/
clip coupon and use code VCRS9QP3

what about em
You said I was still being cheap
they're budget items without the quality being shit
I'm not gonna spend $100+ on a case tho
Not like I can recommend Aria my EVGA Supernova 850 P2
Dont worry, probably towards Cyber Monday/black Friday, I'll upgrade
I'm just getting necessary parts
Those 2 parts are fine
My goal to Black Friday is getting an i9 9900k

That also means I have to swap mobo

that's basically a new computer at that point
Pretty much
Just shove in the highest tier 2nd gen ryzen that mobo can handle
I bet you would need an extremely good water cooler and PSU to overclock it to 5mhz
PSU? not rlly
cooler? definetly
and it's 5 GHz
most Z series motherboards come with a 5 GHz overclock profile
yes
That a mobo?
all the powerful intel chips come with a ZX90 chipset
mine is Z390
for a 9900K it's probably Z490
Mine is an older Z170
I'd wait for PCI-E 5.0 if I were you Aria
4.0 is barely out

you already want 5.0?
Im fine with whatever
Exactly
my bad
he doesn't really need to jump on the current flagship
9900k runs with a Z470
no

Literally almost same price as cpu
You could go X570 with Ryzen 7 3900x if the price for that is competitive come time you decide to replace your current setup.
Hmm
ryzen threadripper
