On the individual scale, no it doesn't matter. As a community if enough people put up strong fleets it can snuff out people who don't have strong fleets. That usually happens later in the season where higher ranked people slowly rise to the top.

past captain rank ur lucky if u get +2. the difference is 35 score for a +1 and that usually is a lot of ranks

for the most part yes is score but rank difference does seem to affect it is some special cases. it's very rare but sometimes even a 35 score difference is not enough for a +1 if the rank difference/density is very low

I care not for scores now, just rushing for merit before servers die. The top 10 are 100 points above the the 20th highest, 300 points above 100th highest. I'm happy with free gold bullin.

sometimes rollbacks after using attempts will make it so u keep the score after u used them but u get the attempts back

if u use attempts and then get a rollback u keep the score after using them but get the attempts back
