by which I mean, she offers 15% protection when she is alive and 10% healing when she stops being alive, and adding those together, while not representative of what would happen in real game, comes up at 25%, which is Juneau healing. Yes if fortune dies early you get much less mileage out of her skill and the percentage will come out lower than this, but the fact that she is a real boat with defensive skills and stats that you do not want to die, on top of her high speed which helps your frontline a whole lot makes Fortune largely preferable outside of metas where you are just struggling to stay afloat against Akaga

Fortune has better offensive stats than Juneau and unless you are playing against something that chunks Juneau really hard early with a strong followup (its akaga btw), flank protection into a late pearl heal seems to perform a lot more consistent than burst that you miss the timing on due to the gear on the boat being too squishy or too tanky.

I just find Fortune easier to play with and her stats more desirable than Atlanta class cruiser. Probably works slightly worse when not boosted by QE, but Nobukun runs Belfap Fortune Eldridge in his wasd (and his team is pretty damn tough to beat) so I believe she has her place and merits

I think things are due to change over time, but for now Eldridge is really good and getting Juneau to help you when the Eldridge says RAINBOW can be tough

if I wanted more stalling from my team I'd sooner cut Belfap for Jueau to be completely fair, smoke is cool and all, but carriers are not that strong, and if they are, they get rekt by Rainbow

I can only see the importance of def fleet during those days anyway since:

1. You can reset pvp matches
2. A lot of commanders can already beat max/oathed ships right now and there's 12hrs/6hrs/6hrs gap on each reset to do it

Actually, def fleets right now prevent weaker commanders from sandbagging so it's still a good deal

It depends entirely on what ranks you're fighting. people in the 1000+ using meta set ups won't be nearly as geared as ones in the top 100. And gear makes a day and night difference.
