Welkin from 1 was much better than Claude from 4 that's for sure. Welkin was a good balance of goofy and serious imo. He can be awkwards at time but he becomes more confident and keeps his cool when shit hit the fan. And the way the game tied in his love for nature into his strategies on the field was well done.

That's not a bad thing. What's wrong with wanting to collect all units in a gacha game? It's like the main draw of a gacha game. Games like AL, GFL, DC and I am sure there are others prove that F2P friendly gacha games can be sucessful. However, the ones that have bad rates that cater to whales reel in the most money so most go that way and require dupes on top of it.
