Reach the stage when the game gets stuck in loading screen.

Tab out to home screen and either swap from WiFi to mobile data, switch to different WiFi, or engage airplane mode (even emulators have airplane mode).

Tab back into the game and see if it asks why you just deprived it of internet connection. If it does, good, (disengage airplane mode) tell it to try again.

If it doesn't recognize that you pulled its plug, then either it was busy checking the integrity of your files or the game really was stuck. Kill the process, restart, and repeat.
This is the standard operating procedure of a lot of mobile games including GFL when it gets stuck. If this still doesn't work, a full reinstall or clearing cache files is inevitable or you're trying to foolishly login when the servers aren't open.
