I guess. with 7.2k a day, you'd be getting around 210k by the end of the month that'd be "Wasted" and add that to whatever you have under Soft Cap... Then you start saving from 50k Gold (assumed soft cap) and get 20k per day, that's like 90k. So it around evens out if you start the event with 300k coins but didn't collect from prior.
