You just need an android phone with at least 3 GB of Ram and 600 series snapdragon cpu or equivslent. Most midrange phones will have it.
Im using a Realme 5 as my other phone and it hasnt crashed Azur Lane and Arknights yet. It also has a gaming mode to boost performance. Also android 9.0, just a step behind the latest version.

Hmm, if your "redownloading" means "uninstall and then install it again", then you may try it. I just redownloaded it today, because of a storage issue and Google and so on (read further above). Until now, the game itself is currently 2,1 GB in size and the additional data fetched while loading the game is about ~6 MB and ~250 MB. In total (for me at least) after a clean installation the size is at 2,47 GB.

If it's the play store giving you an error, I'd say make sure that you have enough storage space, try restarting your device, and maybe even stopping then restarting google play services to see if that helps

I would recommend trying to stop and restart Google Play Services or (as a last resort if you wanna try it), try a fresh install to see if that clears up the issues. so i reinstalled the app and the endless cube spin is over and i can log in
