all these issues would have been fixed with an open beta
since the interface can now support unusual resolutions, I feel as if the Shop and Dock menus can now add in an extra column

I must commend them for the 60fps mode. Seeing Hood barrage the enemy in 60fps feels exeptionally good

Is the fact that older phones not running the game well being told to the team? Just wanted to make sure. I can also provide videos of issues or crashing if needed. iPhone 5s (1gb RAM) issues, iPhone 6s (2gb RAM) crashes opening the dorm, doing sorties, etc. I just booted up my LG G5 (4G Ram) and the game runs, but it has horrific stuttering, noticeable lag opening dialogue boxes. At least it doesnāt crash. No idea if Iām just SOL with phones man LOL everything I have sucks

For the new PvP UI: It would be nice if your current rank was bigger/bolder. The way it is now is a little strange because your opponents' ranks are big and noticeable but you have to squint at your own rank. Reset timer/exercise count would also be nicer bigger/bolder.

Hey there, I have some feedback regarding the new UI. First issue is...I find it harder to click the torpedo launch button during battle. The new icon is kinda small, make it bigger please, or at least an option to make it bigger. Another issue, this one pretty small, its very hard to examine equipment in-game, specifically which gun/gear goes to which ship type. You are supposed to just click on the info screen to see it, but it often doesn't register.
New Medalliin Idea: Fox Miner... If you have Akage/Kaga, you understand.

New UI looks wonderful, but has a bit too much animation when opening dock and equipment menu. This is especially noticeable running the game at 30fps. It would improve the overall experience if some of the animations can be tone down a little bit for smoother gameplay.
Also when entering lecture hall, you cannot immediate exit afterwards (there is a little delay). Fixing the lag when entering would be nice. Overall UI the new UI looks nice.
This new UI + 60 FPS = god-like....

Yeah there's a shit ton of changes in the texts that makes it harder to read stuff. Like how the color contrast between white small text and gray-ish background just burns your eyes.

I know the game now zooms to the boss when they appear but i usually afk and dont notice the boss is right behind one of my fleet and its sometimes hard to see the boss. Suggestion is to add a red glowing overlay or something that just makes it obvious that the boss is there even if its behind ships. or just make your fleets smoler

i do have 2 suggestions i don't believe were on cyaneko's list, they're probably within my last couple of messages on this channel in case you don't end up backreading through all the repeated complaints
couple of suggestions on that list are more "global". While something like font should be easily changeable by EN team - other things, like colour scheme certainly requires a lot more changes and depends entirely on cn devs.
It's just whether or not they'll do it. Anything's possible. Also it appears at least one feature of the old ui was outright removed.

It's more like half its functionality was removed, you can use it to backtrack from menus, but you can't use it to quit the game like pre-patch.

it's become extremely easy to misclick to the side of the "confirm" (or the "start" in the dialogue just before this) and cancel/exit then have to start over instead, making buttons bigger or making a dead area around the buttons so if you miss them nothing will happen would solve this

Just a suggestion, maybe other user who use split screen often also feel this. The HQ button can't be tapped, because it's so close with the "white line"(marked orange) to resize the split screen, so the phone react with that instead of HQ button. Please add some margin on the lower part so those buttons placed a bit higher
Split screen is a device thing, so they're not going to necessarily adjust to accommodate I think

I guess this one goes here.... look at this screenshot, the submarine spawned the map where the Retreat button currently is, then I moved my fleet to engage that enemy, and then the sub moved through the enemy trying to rush the one that spawned above; can we have so when moving, subs will prioritize engaged enemy fleets if they are in movement range?
Hp bars being greyed out instead of blacked out makes hp bars sometimes difficult to read. And many of the ui elements are too small or blend in too much making it difficult to see, especially most of the text.

The game is great i absolutely love it but the randomized times frustrates me. Seeing a build that takes 2- 4 hours you think it would be a elite or a sr but i keep on getting commons and rares from long build times.

So, here goes my take on the new UI. Overall a nice job, however, several issues rear their head, most of which are already reported. The UI does not scale and the fonts, controls in and out of battle (Including the BB aim reticle) are a tad too small. It is far too easy to cancel things clicking away and now for the two bugs not announced in #known-bugs : The commander stat menu with the chibi of the ships does not have a still of appropriate size there, but rather a live view of the chibi which then is out-of-proportion and rather weird to look at. The latter one is the greyed-out HP bar, which is very colorblind-unfriendly. At the same time, there are some nice QoL changes, but it will take time for people to adjust to the new UI. But it definitely needs refinement along the way.
Why with the last update the shell skin "Fakkyu" was changed in Japanese? Personally I preferred the old one

Okay, with the Chibi for the secretary not being a still, it is on the UI main screen when you hvae logged in. The screen where you can navigate to anywhere for clarification. So, there is a square in the top left corner which used to house the still of the chibi in the old UI. Now it has been replaced by an animated one, but that one is a bit weird with Little Bel and such due to the chibi having so much vertical movement there, moving her face halfway off the screen. This is shown to a lesser extent with every character

So have written up some issues i have with the new UI:
-The opacity and contrast chosen feels very hard to look at over time, would be nice if they toned it down, mainly it feels like theres too much colour. (opacity in the dorm is rough for me especially)
-The new oath borders are very underwhelming and feels like they could be made abit bigger or visible
-In the dock, especially the numbers on gear is very hard to read on mobile, mainly i feel like it's hard to see what you want to see thats actual useful info, would prefer a new font or a bigger size.
Can staff do announcements in more than one timezone? Like maybe UTC? Or GMT?
Currently the maintenance times require a good old googling to even figure out what time they are rather than you know it being "oh it starts at 9AM British Summer time, right on"

In terms of playing on a tablet with a different aspect ratio to the phone, I preferred the old way of adding 'black bars' (or background elements) - during loading screen the edges of the artwork are clipped off now where they didn't used to be before.
With this, the screen for the individual ship from the dock and archives shows the artwork too low on the screen.
I would prefer there to be an option to force the 'standard' aspect ratio and just have black bars on the top and bottom of the screen instead of scaling.

Hi, game is bad on iPad right now because of how the character sprites are referenced in the game itself which causes misplacement of characters on platforms with weird sizes (i.e. iPad/ weird phones with weird resolutions). This is my proposal in a way where it can fix your weird screen issue forever and still give a professional looking start screen without worrying about screen sizes:

As you can see, the menu box with event ads is referenced from the middle of the screen along with the text box, but the shipgril sprite is referenced from the bottom of the screen, which then causes a huge empty space at the top of the screen, which is extremely jarring and a huge waste of space that could have been used for other stuff.

Hey there! First time poster here, also new to the game. I've read a lot of the past comments, so I see many issues have been adressed already. So I'll just give my opinion here, and sorry if it's already been said.
I don't want to be mean or sound entitled especially since I'm new to the game, I'm sure the devs put a lot of effort into the new UI and ofc there's bound to be hiccups and stuff to iron out, but I just wanted to say: I REALLY don't like the new UI from a design perspective. I just picked up the game a week ago, so I'm not really nostalgic for the old UI and there are things the new one does indeed better, but I really have to question the design choices here. Problems with readability and scaling aside, why is the new UI is so cold, sterile and "futuristic" when the game is about cutesy ship waifus who should make you feel warm. Just the difference between the dorm / academy screen and the rest of the UI is staggering. Between chibi girls and frilly outfits why the cold blue and gray, why all the edges, why the hologram matix dots? I'm already afraid to accidentally push a wrong button and send my girls out an airlock into space :P
Could we maybe get different (warmer) color schemes? Different Themes altogether (even for gems)? Or just round off the edges a bit? Again, just my opinion and preference, certainly others will disagree, but I thought I'd give my 2ct.

Regarding the new UI, I would really appreciate it if the devs can add a feature to show the current mood of the ships in the dorm's second floor selection page. It really is a bother to select a ship just to see if her mood is mix or not and then change her back if it is.

In my opinion, if you care about ship enhancement effectiveness, auto-fill as it is today only works if you have few common ships (12 or less) that you can press the button to nearly instantly load everyone, then cherry-pick the ones that benefit the most instead of having to go through the choice screen that has a noticeable load time
For example, on the above screenshot, the auto-filler could've chosen 2 Pensacolas that have 46 FP and 22 RLD total enhancement value, then pad the remaining needed FP and RLD with a common CL => total 3 ships consumed, not 11 like on the screenshot
But this would require the auto-filler to become smarter and I don't know if that's too much work to put in

And of course it can never be perfect, because the player most likely has a full perspective of what ships they want to enhance to pick the enhancement fodder accordingly and the auto-filler most likely does not
Not sure if it's mentioned, love the new UI, but now when you restock dorm supplies, the "restocking complete!" notification or whatever makes it really hard to see your supply bar
if u in super endgame and grinds alot eday, you wont care whatever autofill selects but is very convenient, no most time waste clicking things

You know how half the stuff you see is really small in the new UI? Well, take a look at these:
On the iPad, the current backlines literally take up the entire screen. This is due to the fact that the game shrinks the battle screen to that of a normal handphone, but the game up the resolution of the character sprites to the full height of the screen that you have, so basically the character just takes up the entire battle screen and you can't see ANYTHING.

The archives for the new UI look pretty good, but it would be nice if they were still easily quantifiable by IDs eg. 001-386 like the old system, easier to keep track of when ships are added to the roster and other things (made a seperate database spreadsheet to keep track of my roster and progression of ships in general, the IDs kept things in line and made it easier to know what i have and dont have within the game)

Ability for a player to exchange ships from 2 different fleets on the map so that when you flunk a boss battle, you can retreat and exchange ships so that you can attempt it again with new ships instead of abandoning the run.
Now we can favourite ships but can we favourite equipment. That way it's easier to trash useless equipment.
You guys need to seriously work on hyphenation, this has been a issue since the beginning of EN and still is to this date
what i mean by hyphenation is the breaking of English words between newlines in a single paragraph
i.e. a single word like "with" should never be"wit" next line "h", it just doesn't make any sense, any word with only one consonance should never be broken up

it's probably not helped by the lag i gt when anything in the game moves
i get 2-3 whole seconds of lag at the start of every battle (more in exercises) and around 1 second every time someone uses an ex barrage/all out assault, launches an airstrike, or when a new wave appears
by "seconds of lag" i mean "seconds of completely frozen screen while the enemy does damage and i could be firing torps into the sky without seeing them"

There was a lot of good feedback given here. I gave a lot of it to staff, but I'm waiting on adding things to trello, because other servers currently make a lot of changes and patches to it, so want to wait until it's settled
I know this menu is collapsable but if i collapse it after a battle then its stuck out again like this. I dont know if this is a feature or bug. Id like it to stay collapsed.

I feel like the health bars on top of each ship stopped being colorblind friendly. I'd suggest making the "orange" brighter or more saturated to contrast with the now dark grey empty bar.

Outside of combat my phone screen will time out. This wasn't the case prior to the update where I can just leave the phone as it is
The only negative about the new UI is that the number displayed are way too small. Some of the icons too but not as big of a problem.

@plain siren Yeah, when the game is idle, it'll pull your phone's screen timeout setting. It's not sure if this is intentional or a bug since some people were asking for it. It's been reported though so we'll learn before long

Add options to force 16:9 on devices with different aspect ratio such as 18:9 etc. On old UI this come with some "black bar" at the bottom and top of the screen. Would be nice if we can choose it freely, because new UI forces the game to fit with the screen, sometimes it'd came out weird

Hello. Yesterday was first day when I played properly with the new UI and here are few things I need to adress. First of all I appreciate the effort and idea put in the development of new UI but with all honesty itās at least 10 times worse than the old one
- The UI theme is too cyberpunk-ish which doesnāt match with the WW navy theme nor Anime cuties theme at all and it looks extremely misplaced
- The sizing of UI elements is so weird and broken. Many things became smaller and some things became bigger which look very disproportional and at some points itās also very ineffective. For example now in the ship details when you look at the ship abilities itās just one big icon and some timy space for the ability name and it must scroll because not even one word from the ability name can be displayed fully
- Font and itās size is absolutely horrible. Some text is so tiny that it canāt be even read on mobile devices. I really doubt anyone tested the new UI on mobile devices at this point at all. The size of controls is suddenly at least twice smaller. Some info such as equipment upgrade level is so small and subtle I actually couldnt find it at first look
- Colors in the UI are wannabe transparent so they look kinda pale and some UI elements are randomly merging together which combined with messy background makes kinda confused UI
- When I open tactical classroom the Kƶln in background doesnāt have legs. They are cut right under the skirt. This is something I found after playing for 10 seconds how is it possible it made it to final version I donāt really know
- In the lecture hall the bar showing experience and buttons are randomly moved up leaving random stripe of empty space where you just look at classroom floor and this takes like 1/3 of the screen.

7) The patch notes notification doesnāt disappear even after clicking ānotifiedā button and the text of the patch notes is extremely broken there is no space above and bellow each sentence so the letters are just merging together.
8) Snacks in dorms lost their names now they are called just just āsnack1000, snack2000, etcā and the āenergy conservationā dorm decor is now in chinese
9) The quick access to the commissions from main screen next to secretary doesnāt allow you now to finish only some commissions and some later. It just gives you rewards from all finished at once. Plus now instead of time show āgoā button even when there is already ongoing mission and no others can be initiated. Same with the classroom and research quick access at same place. Also when sending ships on commission the āstartā button says ācompletedā for some reason

10) The old UI had empty gray stripes on the top and bottom on tablet and incthe new one this got removed which is nice EXCEPT for the battle itself where it still is and when main fleet ship fires her image goes in those empty stripes so itās not like nothing could be there it was just left there for god knows what reason. Either remove it everywhere or leave it everywhere
11) When browsing between story chapters the right arrow is higher than the left arrow so if I want to scroll forward and back through chapters I must hold the device unevenly. Also the chapter levels are for some reason all in bottom half of screen leaving top half of screen completely empty which is very poor work with the screen space. In the sortie map the floor doesnt look like a sea anymore but like a storehouse floor
12) The basic shape of most UI elements is square but tilted for 45 degrees which is literally one of worst shapes to fit in screen and yet again creates a lot of unused empty spaces and generaly creates poor screen space utilization especialy when mixes with squares that are not tilted. Also in main screen there is everything in bottom and top half of screen has just random empty space and in corner is small tilted square showing some resources

Generaly the screen space utilization is extremely poor the colors are bad the font is awful the sizing of UI elements is horrible the theme looks completely misplaced and the UI is generaly messy and painful to watch. And this is stuff that I have seen in 1day and I donāt even talk about technical difficulties that some people have. So yet again I try appeal to you. Take your time when designing something important test it out properly on different mobile devices and then release it. You donāt need to release stuff just for the sake of releasing something. Especially not when it means risking itās going to be halfassed failure like this. I really love this game and it pains to me to watch things going like this. Wish you luck and hope the devs will know about it and do something with it.

The new interface has text and buttons so small and so far apart it actually causes eye strain. The contrast between text color and background makes some text near unreadable. Sometimes I have to move the phone extra close to my face to read things. I might actually have to quit the game it's that bad on my eyes.
so for #5, I see legs, please send bugs in #bug-reports not in game feedback, please send a screenshot of that there
1 more thing, the arrow icon to move between chapters is a lot smaller now and it's hard to know where to hit the hit box of the icon 
overall, everything became more compact, which is great on something like a 12" tablet, but not so good on a 5" phone

I'm really upset with the new interface being so small and so bad on my eyes. I want to like it but its not a matter of getting used to it, things are just too small and too clashing colored and too far apart to be readable.
It does feel like the UI was optimized for tablets and so for phones everything is too tiny.
