Risk of Drones REDUX is a re-upload, re-release and re-updated version of the original Risk of Drones mod by Evaisa. Thank you to Evaisa for permission to do this by the by.

This mod includes the various drones from Risk of Rain and includes them into Noita.
This includes:

  • Basic Drone: A simple, weak drone that shoots bullets
  • Attack Drone: A moderately effective drone that shoots many bullets
  • Health Drone: A simple, weak drone that heals you
  • Advanced Health Drone: A moderately effective drone that significantly heals you
  • Laser Drone: A powerful drone that fires a piercing laser
  • Missile Drone: A powerful drone that fires many tiny missiles
  • Flame Drone: A powerful drone with a flamethrower

Note that this mod is far from complete yet, and more updates are yet to come.

Known Problems:
General:

  • Drones teleport and become your friend from anywhere
    Basic Drone:
  • None Known
    Attack Drone:
  • Cannot Attack
  • Ragdoll needs to be fixed
    Health Drone:
  • None Known
    Advanced Health Drone:
  • None Known
    Laser Drone:
  • Ragdoll needs to be fixed
    Missile Drone:
  • Animation needs to be fixed (and ragdoll)
    Flame Drone:
  • Ragdoll needs to be fixed

Many additional balance changes and features should be on the way!

Also note that currently all drones spawn rate is set to the same value. If you wish to change this, it is part of the mod settings menu in Noita. You may also choose to spawn with particular drones at the start or not in the mod settings.

why do a bunch of drones spawn on the player when they begin a run?

That’s just to mimic what the original Risk of Drones does, as it spawns a basic drone right at the start. The next update will be removing that… or making it an option for you to spawn drones right at the start.

drones get spawned again whenever you load a save

Funny enough, I’m pretty sure this is a problem with the original mod too. I’ll try to make a fix for it, but it might be a bit janky of a fix. That’ll also come with the ability to choose to spawn with certain drones at all.
