Alright covered a SMG, Battle Rifle, & LMG and now it's time to cover a Shotgun. But, I wanted to cover a pump-action Shotgun that isn't, probably, very widely known like the SPAS-12, KSG, KS-23, and others are. I wanted something more modern, that came from a country that didn't have significant national representation in the game, and would either be different from what we currently have, or be made different enough without it getting "WW3ed." Those desires was answered in the form of the Italian STF 12.
Key reasons the STF 12 should be added to WW3
#1. We could use some more non-Assault Rifles added to the game pretty badly and even then we could use some Shotgun variety.
#2. The Weapon was designed with Modularity in mind, so there is plenty of Factory & Aftermarket parts the Developers can look into for Blueprints.
#3. It gives Italy it's first Gun in game (If no others are added between now and if ever the STF 12 is added.)
#4. While it would be another Pump-Action Shotgun, there is enough that can be done to make the STF 12 different from the MCS without the weapon getting dragged through the "We WW3ed the Gun" mud.
#5. Though the Weapon has very limited service usage, the Weapon is currently in service with Portuguese Special Operations units that specialize in unconventional warfare.
#6. The weapon doesn't have a large presence across many games and while that would understandably bring it's popularity into question. It does mean that the Weapon would, ideally, feel more unique in WW3 because it's not commonly seen in other games.
Balance suggestions for the STF 12
Strengths
- Barrel length doesn't dictate Magazine size
- Flechette Ammunition
- Effective against Body Armor
- Fast Pump-Action (Rivals that of a Semi-Auto and bests the MCS.)
Weaknesses
- Heavy Shotgun (7-8 Blocks)
- Demanding on Accuracy
- Poor Hip fire accuracy
- Not as effective against unprotected parts of the body as the MCS
