I was in a match tonight with Jovian, I was on red team and he was on blue team. The team menu showed him on the blue team, however, his grinder was red team and the reticle showed him as on my team as well. He saw the same thing but opposite. Both saw each other's icon on the radar the whole game. I am including a brief clip showing this.
These were not duplicates from being kicked either. We only show on the team menu once each and did not switch teams during the match.

Switching a new match from teams to FFA also sometimes comes with two players on the same team. Don't know if it's the same thing causing it but there are occasional mix-ups.
