Noticed that while idling in Galar areas for long periods of time (no autoclicker), the game will sometimes stop killing enemies and enter a mostly unusable state, apparently due to a failure to access save data, even when tab is visible and pc doesn't sleep. When page is refreshed, the time it was dead is treated as offline time as orbs are given.

Do you still have the issue ?
It looks like the game fails at saving your data, specifically statistics, and that soft crash prevents the game from ticking any longer.
Running for more than three hours now, no issue yet.
yeah, still happens
I'm gonna move to the client and hopefully that fixes it
errr... might not be an option... about a second after loading into the game, briefly saw where I was at in johto and then the screen went white...
restart, now it just does nothing when I select import save
ok, got in 3rd restart...
Try downloading the client again if the loading issue persists.
well client seems to be working, although it blocks my autoclicker... intentional? >.>
and as I said that, it whitescreened again
guess I'll be sticking to the browser...

For auto clicker, you need to be running both the client and the auto clicker in admin mode.
ah. could admin mode maybe fix the whitescreens?
Unlikely.
is there something I can do to help dig into why exactly the save thing is failing? it's becoming super annoying and the client whitescreens mean that's not an option either
for real this is extremely frustrating, happens 10+ times a day and I end up losing hours and hours of progress
is this with autoclicking?
no
Hey so I recently ran into something similar and it was my browser actively killing tabs, even if it was visible, after around 3 hours (okay I stupidly had it running in Edge, but I heard people with the same issue in Chrome). Turning off the energy saving feature helped for me
i think it happens bc pokeclicker uses like 1 GB or RAM after a while
I just made a script override of knockout-latest.js that stores the value it's saying is undefined outside of the if condition because it seems like it's checking for the value before the assignment intermittently... hopefully it will run stable now...
it does work, but occasionally the tab itself will crash from the memory thing, and I have to reapply the script override
sigh... that won't work long term either, when the computer goes to sleep it undoes the script override
