New PC help

[proper light]

I have just had my new PC delivered... Plugged it all in, turned it on, it beeped at me 3 times and then sat there...
I had to hold the power button down to turn it off... I turned it on again and now I'm stuck with a black screen with a white underscore on it and that's it... HELP!
