I bought this PC from cyberpower about 5 years ago.
When I’m using my PC it keeps just crashing - but in a weird way. The PC itself stays on all the components still show the rgb (so there is still power to them), however the monitors go black and all applications stop running, and I have to restart my pc from the case to get it back running. Sometimes it also freezes for a while before everything goes black.
I had similar issues before, where the PC would crash and reboot itself, but that was mainly when playing games. Now it did it just when downloading a game, and playing low intensity games that don’t require lots of performance.
The PC specs are:
Ryzen 7 2700x
2x16gb 3600mhz ram (downclocked as motherboard only supports 2666mhz)
2070 super
Corsair vengeance 650m PSU
250gb ssd (c drive)
2tb hdd (d drive)
I think it’s either a power supply issue or storage issue, as my drive seem to run at 100% lots, however when I’ve check the drives health they show as OK, which leads me to believe it’s a power supply issue.
Although the PC is 5 years old the RAM was upgraded about 2 years ago.
Could someone help me troubleshoot the issue, and suggest what the failing component is?
