Hey so I waited until the 50 series and a few other things like motherboards came out and I think this build I put together is solid, if there’s any improvements that can be made please let me know. Also will they know to install the windows on the faster ssd in the pcie 5 slot?
#Is this a good build?

That looks fine. Could probably go for a cheaper motherboard and be absolutely fine but if you want that motherboard then go for it. Psu could probably be 850w but if you want room for upgrades 1000w is ideal. I would say the pcie5.0 storage is unnecessary as standard m.2 storage is already fast enough for majority of tasks

Pcie5.0 storage I would say to avoid for now as the speed of pcie4 storage vs pcie5.0 won't really make a difference for majority of things such as games, downloads and so on. Maybe if transferring a lot of files but really pcie 4 is already extremely fast. May take 1 second off windows boot
But yeah they will put windows on faster drive
Like I got nearly £300 off the price just by going back to pcie4 and choosing a cheaper but still perfectly fine motherboard
Okay thank you for the tips bro
I understand better
Also I’m not really sure how the 6x fans would be placed including the aio cooler because I checked the case specs and wasn’t entirely sure do you know what they would do? I didn’t see any included fans in the case
How they would do it should I say
The placement

btw I think you told me last time, but I can't find it anywhere in my recents. What was the cheapest option for me, which build was it, I needed to configure? Hope this makes sense.

i would suggest keeping the 9800x3d but if you are fine losing maybe a few frames but nothing noticeable then this at £150 less would work https://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/saved/5916205

picked different cpu cooler as current one was white so wouldn't match the case
okay thanks bro I will have a look now
np. could probably go to 3x 4x lian li fans too considering cpu cooler has 3 already
I was asking about like what is the cheapest base to build on idk how to ask it hahaha
i'm not sure as it changes quite often
because its weird with cpc you cant build from scratch
i wish they added a feature where you can customise from the start
because last time i made the same build on two different ones and there was like a 100 pound difference lol
it's because different configs are based on different parts and such so some can have slightly different parts available. it's hard to have one thats from scratch as you need to first choose am5 am4 and intel or ryzen and so on. its more consumer friendly to have them make less changes as then they are more confident about what they can change
Yeh I guess that makes sense
i'll have a look
I saw another really cool case in there I think it's also lian li
don't trouble yourself haha

do you mean lancool 207?
yessss
i think its a very small case in terms of inside space but should fit most builds in but probably more suited for mid range builds. i have the lancool 216 from last year and if i remember its slightly bigger or wider

okay I see I kind of want a smaller case for my desk as I don't have much space
also is there a difference between the wifi 6 and 7 is it worth the upgrade
as above i found a much cheaper config. also i'll change it to 207 as should fit 5080 in fine as they aren't too big like 40 series. also that depends on your own internet as if your router is only wifi 6/6e then wifi 7 won't make much difference but either way ethernet is best way to get a good connection to your pc
yeh I have ethernet but it comes through an extender
okay noted
there is no big difference between the msi and normal 5080 right?

changed to 207 and taken 3 fans off as that case can't take as many
they don't replace the cooler fans if you put 6?
I believe they can but if that's something you want i would recommend putting it in an email to them as well as special request during checkout to make sure they do
okay thank you for everything, I will be ordering very soon
:tada: Congrats @late plover, you levelled up to 6! :tada:
