Hi Im planning to replace the watercooling and I noticed a few things.

Im missing a few components to be able to drain the water. Im looking into buying a “EK Water Block EK-Quantum Torque Drain Valve Fitting” and a Tube to be able to drain it. Although Im not sure if that are the right item or if I need more stuff to be able to do the swap.
Ill post photos and if you could help me knowing what are the pieces I need please

(In the specification mail says
FAN: Hyper Liquid Cooling -EK Enthusiast Kit - Rigid Tube [+49])

Also noticed there was some sort of spillage and not sure what to do about it? I mean ill soon swap the liquid and clean it but just wanted someone with more expertise about the matter to let me know what to do and proceed.

Where’s the spillage sorry? Your best bet would be to get a jug/funnel and slowly remove a tube and drain it through that, preferably one at the lowest point of the loop.

it looks like it overflowed

You could but not sure where you’d install it without liquid going everywhere

Can i install it there?

#

Is that an entry for the torque?

#

Or will water still spill if i were to open that idk much about this so i will end up doing whatever you say but just wanted to make sure

Yes, opening that will release all the res water. I use a bottle like this to suck out the coolant:

#

From the top fill port of the res.

#

Also, get yourself a PSU jumper, so you can run the pump without powering your motherboard

#

Regarding the "spillage", that could be the a seal that is going/gone at the bottom of the res. Once you've drained the loop you should be able to see if the O-ring has perished, if so then you'll need to replace it.

#

Also, do not run the pump "dry", the pump is water lubricated otherwise bearing damage can occur

Pull the power connector from the mobo, attach the jumper and you can power on the PC (fans/pump) without power to the mobo. The other option is to use a spare PSU (with a jumper) and power the pump externally

If you're not confident then I wouldn't start it. Custom loops and water cooling does need a bit of knowhow and toolkit to maintain as well as periodic flushing with distilled water etc. I have no idea if CP have a that kind of service, call them?

Well I never! All the years I've been buying custom loops from CP, I didn't know this was a service 🙂

It’s a service we offered but never really advertised until recently
