So I'm having an issue where if I turn on my pc within a few hours of it turning off it won't boot and will give me an error message stating overcurrent has been detected on one of your usb devices, turning off to protect your system. However this doesn't happen if the computer has been off several hours or overnight, in which case it turns on no problem.
I've tried powering on with everything unplugged (such as now, I don't even have my monitor plugged in). I've also unplugged the USB 3.0s at the front of my tower from the mobo. I've tried unplugging and holding the power button, none of which has made an impact.
While I know I need to figure out the in-depth problem, for now I'd settle for a reliable way of getting it to turn on. As it seems to be on a 2-3 hour cooldown between power off and on (thanks power cuts) I assume there's still some residual power in the system. How can I effectively flush out any residual power and in essence make the pc be in the same state as if it had been powered down for the last 3 hours?
