Monitor Cables

If you have a discrete GPU then you need to plug your monitor cable into the graphics card, not the motherboard. This can be found on the Quick Start Guide which was emailed to you, or you can download it with the /tag guide command.

Reseating RAM
gritty flume
#

Alright I’ll try

gritty flume
#

I’ve done it

#

But uh

#

It didn’t help

#

Is there anything I could try?

#

I don't want to deter anyone from giving support here but I think you are from CA/USA?

#

I apologise if you aren't from there

gritty flume
#

Yes I am, I joined this server because there aren’t any support channels in the regular cyber power server

#

Is there a reason u mentioned it?

zinc wigeon
#

It's just referring them to their support, cause it's a different company but same brand over here

gritty flume
#

Like different manufacturers under the same brand?

zinc wigeon
#

They are both different system integrators with the same branding yea

#

Right so I will try offer my two cents... And see what happens

gritty flume
#

Alright

zinc wigeon
#

But since there is a CPU (I believe?) debug led, it may end up in you contacting their support

#

Can you check that red LED and the text next to it up top right

gritty flume
#

Lemme try and read it

#

Boot cpu dram vga

zinc wigeon
#

Do any ones come on?

#

With the PC powered

gritty flume
#

What do u mean?

#

Do any what’s come on

placid cairnBOT
#

cprgbglitch :tada: Congrats @gritty flume, you levelled up to 2! :tada: cprgbglitch

zinc wigeon
gritty flume
#

Yes that’s on

zinc wigeon
#

Which one is it signalling

gritty flume
#

Dram

zinc wigeon
#

Right

#

Take a picture now as you reseated it I believe?

gritty flume
zinc wigeon
#

Take the first slot out

#

See if it changes

gritty flume
#

Alright

#

Turn it off first right?

zinc wigeon
#

Should have mentioned, yeah definitely

#

Don't be messing with your PC while it's on for sure

gritty flume
#

Now that the first ones out jus turn it back on?

zinc wigeon
#

Yes

#

Also forgot to mention - what's the CPU? If it's Ryzen 7000, there's a slim chance it could be memory training, which could take up to 5 minutes or even longer reportedly

#

First boot only though typically

gritty flume
#

The specs r a i9 13900kf and a 4070

#

Just rebooted it btw and the same light is coming on

zinc wigeon
#

Maybe just remove the other stick and slot it in the second slot

#

Chance that that one on the right is dead?

gritty flume
#

It still popped up red

#

Let me try the ram it came with

#

Display turned on with my og ram

#

I used the last slot

#

I might have jus got the wrong type of ram?

#

Now that my display and keyboard is on though

#

The screens jus black

gritty flume
#

The fans on the gpu stopped spinning

#

And the screen is just black

#

Is that a reason it may be smthn wrong?

gritty flume
#

^

gritty flume
#

I plugged the other 2 ram sticks back in and now the same thing is happening

placid cairnBOT
#

cprgbglitch :tada: Congrats @gritty flume, you levelled up to 3! :tada: cprgbglitch

gritty flume
#

The graphics card stops spinning and the screen won’t display anything besides my cursor

zinc wigeon
#

Its a good sign!

#

I'm guessing the windows install is corrupted

Windows 11 Installation

If you are upgrading from Windows 10, you may need to enable TPM and Secure Boot in order to proceed with the Windows 11 installation - please follow the TPM & Secure Boot guide below first.

:warning: When reinstalling Windows, you will lose any files which are not backed up to the cloud or an external drive - please ensure any files you would like to keep are backed up before continuing.

:one: Click the button below and download the 'Create Windows 11 Installation Media' tool.
:two: Follow through the installation tool, and choose 'USB flash drive' when prompted. Your USB flash drive must be 8GB or greater.
:three: Once the tool has finished, shut down the PC you're installing Windows on and insert the USB drive.
:four: Next, repeatedly press the following key while your PC is turning on, depending on your motherboard:
rog ASUS/ROG: F8
aorus Aorus/Gigabyte: F12
msi asrock cp MSI/ASRock/Cyberpower: F11
Then choose your USB drive from the list to boot from it.
:five: Follow through the installation tool. When it asks for your product key, click Skip - your PC will automatically reactivate. Make sure to select the same Windows version as you ordered with your PC, then choose a Custom installation.
:six: Select the drive in which you would like to install Windows on (you will want to install Windows on your SSD, this is typically a smaller drive), delete any partitions which already exist and then select Drive # Unallocated Space, and click Next.
:seven: Once your PC restarts, you will be taken to the first-time setup screen, where you can setup your user account and preferences.

zinc wigeon
#

Probably not tbh, you will need one

gritty flume
#

Alright

#

Wait also how will I download it without a working pc?

#

@zinc wigeon

zinc wigeon
#

Do you have a laptop?

#

Spare computer?

gritty flume
#

Nah

#
