Hello everyone,
I'm getting back to PC gaming after 10 long years (or even more). This is what I'm thinking of: https://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/saved/5610223
I would love to hear your thoughts about this system. I have no idea if the air flow and the CPU cooling system is good enough? I'm worried about the noise and overheating. Is it better to stick with Intel? or maybe cheaper AMD? I'm just playing games in 1140p a bit of everything. TIA!

Go for this bad boy
I 100% vouch for that build! ^^
Sweet! thanks for that. Any specific reason to go for this CPU?
Its alot faster than a 12700K for gaming, on par with a 13900k/14900k I think
Is the best CPU for gaming on market at the moment
Plus the 4080 will be a absolute beast at 1440p and 4k
I have 4080 running at 1440p and no issues, max settings all games excluding competitive one
Yours is a bit better in terms of gaming because of the CPU as I have Intel
Thanks for explaining. That make a lot of sense! Appreciated. Is this case a batter choice than Be Quiet Pure Base 500FX Gaming Case I was going for? Ahhhh.... I think I will be ordering my system in a few days! can't wait. Also need to think about my monitor. I'm curretly using iiyama G-Master GB3467WQSU-B5
For airflow, yeah I assume so
For looks, your opinion - they are both class
Thats a fine monitor for this system
You can go for Be Quiet case but this one is a bit better, have 2x big chunky fans at front
And you will be able to controlled it with Lian Li software since you have AIO
Sadly not unfortunately
No?
The front fans aren't controllable with Lconnect, you have to use your motherboard software
I'm not familiar with L-Connect, but still good case
I love the Lancool 216 religiously, I 100% love it
I have it personally, absolutely amazing

In case you need some aesthetics
Can't comment, have the big brother, the Evo XL
Thats a lovely case
I'm thinking to change all the fans to the new one from Corsair but too expensive
waiting for them to die first
Might be waiting awhile then
well... not a fan tbh 😄
ba dum tis?
Okay you are not like me then
The Lancool 216 is the most unoffending case ever (It should look good for whatever you like, unless you have a planned aesthetic )
what about the noise?
Not really hear it, I have headset
fair enough 😄
Just to clear it up, you may be thinking more fans = more noise?
Can be noisy while playing games but while doing normal stuff is quiet
yeah... am I wrong?
Just with YT open and discord
:tada: Congrats @lilac sigil, you levelled up to 1! :tada:
Yeah, actually, the more fans you have the chances are it will be quieter since lower temps
More fans -> better cooling and airflow -> lower temps
- you will only hear the loudest fan in most cases
But honestly with headset you won't hear anything
So to wrap it all up, out of these builds, which one you leaning to?
This would be my preferred build, has a nice case with good airflow, 7800x3d, 4080S and everything else is just very solid
However, I have to say the 216 gets very loud untuned, I would ask CPUK to tune the front fans for you (even idle those things go crazy, they push so much air!)
Agreed. It has to be this one. But maybe different case... you just opened my eyes so would need to think about it
If you have extra spare I'd consider this

Performance GPU - better cooling system and a nice design
But that's totally up to you
you mean in BIOS? I remeber that was quite stright forward to change it? but.... it was long long time ago...
Yeah, its easy enough
is this actually better cooling system? do you know the difference in Celsius?
It is, and looks a bit better not that chunky. Difference is depending on games
https://www.msi.com/Graphics-Card/GeForce-RTX-4080-16GB-GAMING-X-SLIM you can have a little look at it
For a slim card, it looks quite beefy tbf
, I think it will do better by a tad, no performance gain however
You don't get performance but get the better cooling system
Yeah, quieter aswell I believe
And for £50 my opinion is a go
My Suprim is very quiet. I played Cyberpunk at max settings and never goes over 60-65
agreed.
So yours will be similar
As you can see the one I have chosen to you have some opening on the top, not like the previous one which helps a lot
true, true. so we have a winner then 😄 thanks a lot, much appreciated
