If you’re suggesting upgrades or you create an upgrade just post the link so I can take a look thanks.

hollow ocean
#

I'll have a looksey

#

Think it's a well balanced build though

chrome geyser
#

Cheers

#

It looks that way, the specs all in all are pretty good.

hollow ocean
#

Do you wanna go 7900xtx at all? Maybe it doesn't suit you

chrome geyser
#

And it’s about the same price as a build I done myself on pc part picker. Uhmm the 7900xtx is good and it has been an option i was looking at, either way im happy, i like both nvidia and amd cards.

hollow ocean
#

Fairs, I'll do a 7900xtx to differentiate the build, see what you like

chrome geyser
#

From what I’ve heard it’s a good pairing with the 7800x3d

#

Super compatible

hollow ocean
#

Yep, all good

hollow ocean
#

So I've changed the case, as I love the Lancool 216 (two big front RGB fans and a big 140mm rear) I like the B650 Tuf for value, it's the same as the tomahawk in terms of VRMs, features etc,
SN850 2TB and SN850X 1TB for some more storage, RM850E as the PSU

chrome geyser
#

Would you recommend a different aio, maybe a corsair one? I know the 7800x3d doesn’t run too hot so a lot of fans isn’t a must.

hollow ocean
#

And of course the expensive bit being the 7900XTX

chrome geyser
#

It’s actually cheaper than the 4080 super and it’s got so much vram it’s def a card I’ve been interested in.

hollow ocean
#

You can ask cyberpowerPC UK about tuning the chip, but a better AIO might get a few more clocks out of it

#

I would go for the Lian Li Galahad360 trinity personally, but the Corsair stuff is great

#

In perspective, people choose the 7800x3d with really, really slim air coolers and it does the job, but it will run hot regardless

chrome geyser
#

Lian li galahad from what I’ve seen is really good, I’m a big advocate of lian li products

limber horizonBOT

cprgbglitch :tada: Congrats @chrome geyser, you levelled up to 3! :tada: cprgbglitch

Obviously, everyone likes that aha

chrome geyser
chrome geyser
hollow ocean
#

I was just saying any cooler should be adequate, but don't be deterred if it runs toasty

chrome geyser
#

Ofc ofc, that’s just how things are, aslong as I have decent airflow it shouldn’t be an issue.

hollow ocean
#

Lancool 216 😉 that thing is literally JUST airflow, you should see it

chrome geyser
#

What would you recommend monitor wise for this sort of build, something that gets the best performance.

chrome geyser
hollow ocean
#

Eh, depends what you want but for really damn competitive valorant etc 1080p highest refresh rate possible, for competitive gaming 1440p (can do 165hz+) and for your looks and cwispyness go for 4K

#

Most people fall into the 1440p range

chrome geyser
#

I do mostly play valorant and cod, I was looking at Lenovo legion monitors as I’ve had them in the past and they are good monitors imo

hollow ocean
#

What would be the monitor budget?

#

LG/Samsung/Asus are your main players

chrome geyser
#

Uhmmm probably within the 2-300 range.

hollow ocean
#

Lemme find one

chrome geyser
hollow ocean
#

There's monitors on site aswell actually

#

Asus is for your more expensive stuff

#

Like ludicrous amounts of money on a monitor (£500+)

chrome geyser
#

Yeah for me that’s slightly extreme hahaha

#

Don’t get me wrong maybe one day but for the time being

hollow ocean
#

Yep, same here

#

On site there's a nice coolermaster monitor for £220 + VAT or something

#

I'll include it in the link

chrome geyser
#

Oh for sure, I’ll have a look once it’s on the link.

hollow ocean
#

So that's £2535 PC + Monitor

chrome geyser
#

That’s roughly where I’m sitting at price wise, between 2 and 3k, something that’s gonna have longevity and be future proof

hollow ocean
#

What I said to someone else is because you are on AM5, you can fit in a couple more generations to come

#

So say get the 7800x3d (same gaming perf but less cores as the 7950x3d) today and if cores become an issue, you can swap it out

#

Future proofing is very difficult to predict

chrome geyser
#

Yeah exactly, which is why I wanted to get something that would allow me to do just that rather than having to upgrade over and over.

#

I mostly only game anyway so the 7800x3d is ideal for me.

hollow ocean
#

Yep, sounds good

#

Well, if you open up the 3K budget range maybe we can do a bit more optimizing

chrome geyser
#

Oooo, you can see what you can do, always open to suggestions!

hollow ocean
#

Great, I'll prob change the mobo to an X series chipset 'cause we can

Now I don't know how you like your systems, but that is basically the best you can get

#

You got RGB all over the place, will look fantastic

chrome geyser
#

I love that, I am a big fan of rgb.

hollow ocean
#

Ah one oversight - change the mobo to the X670e gaming plus and get a 1000W PSU

#

Won't change performance or stability but the extra wattage may help a bit (won't run into issues regardless)

No worries, looking forward to seeing this beast on your desk!

chrome geyser

Oh for sure, as soon as I get paid I’m gonna buy it, I recently bought all the other bits I needed, desk, chair etc, I gave my old computer to my cousin, so I’m looking forward to getting back into pc gaming, once again thank you ❤️
