i brought this pre-built a couple of weeks ago and it only arrived today, it runs perfect but im slightly worried if one of the fans is not working then the pc may be damaged

All good, probably just a cable

So what you gotta do is turn the computer off (and pull the cord out) and open up the metal side panel

Now you should see what looks like a fan hub, check for any connections that looks dodgy

my aio is mounted to the top of the pc

will the hub still be on the side or the top?
