At this point I cant even play overwatch for five minutes before it bricks my whole pc and it will either restart by itself or just blue screen if I don't turn it off. And it's not just overwatch, I've tried siege and destiny 2 and the problem is the same. On rare occasions, the game will crash without bricking my pc but that's not often. This has been going on for a while now and I have tried using command prompt to scan for corrupt files, I've tried removing junk system files, I've even reinstalled windows 11 and none of it has made a difference for any longer than a few hours. I'm running a 4080 with an i9 14900kf and I only recently got the pc.

Idles on around mid 30s and in games I'm pretty sure it doesn't go much over 50

What CPU cooler do you have? how many case fans do you have? prior to this summer I had similar issues, PC could barely run anything without bricking or bluescreening.

I narrowed the problem down to either CPU/motherboard overheating or faulty RAM.

My already crappy AIO pump had been dying slowly, so I'm pretty sure it was that heat was building up in my motherboard.

I swapped from a case with only an exhaust fan (using AIO as intake) to a 7000D airflow case with tons of fans, got a Corsair H150i 360mm AIO for my 3700x instead of the crappy 240mm Coolermaster AIO I was using. My AIO is top mounted as an exhaust now, so CPU temperatures don't affect my motherboard, and my GPU heat is blown out the back with my 7 intake fans and 1 rear exhaust. And I also replaced the RAM at the same time.

My PC used to crash if the motherboard temps went over 50C, now I don't think I've ever seen them go over 45C, even at full load in the middle of the summer, which is what it was idling at before the upgrade.

Since the change I've had maybe 5-10 PC crashes maximum in the last 6 months, when I used to have that many in less than a week.
