Hi guys thank you for helping
To be honest, it sounds like something you would have to resolve with support
What is your powersupply?
So yeah, as per the screen shot. When to turn on my pc this morning and it died
Ergh that feeling must suck.
Yeah, I just want to know what model your PSU is.
CORSAIR PSU 1000W RME SERIES RM1000E CP-9020250-UK
Interesting
Iāve only had the pc since March this year
Well, the PC is still in warranty and will get sorted very fast.
I can assure you CPUK will take care of you with top tier support.
Wait, I'm confused, have you tried a different power cable?
No power at all to the pc?
Actually it might be some short circuit protection
Tried cmos?
Changed the old blown fuse for a new one and tried again. I do have another power cable as well but trying to limit fiddling around with it until I spoke with someone from CP
Changing your PSU cable is a smart choice.
:one: Shut down your PC and unplug the power cord from the wall.
:two: Locate the CMOS battery (see the image below). On some motherboards, you may have to remove the graphics card in order to access it.
:three: Remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard by pressing down on the clip and pulling the battery out.
:four: Hold down the case power button for three seconds while your PC is unplugged.
:five: Install the CMOS battery back into the motherboard and plug the power cord back into the wall.
:six: Plug in and turn on your PC.
A video guide is also available below
Jack I would do this first
the JBAT1 header
Short it with a screw driver for a few seconds and it will reset the CMOS and we can see, doesn't sound like they wanna go through the effort - unless you do.
Try the other cable if that dosent work, can try the above, if you're not comfortable in doing so advise waiting until you've spoken with cyberpower š
Might need to know your motherboard to see the position of the header
If that doesn't work you can try the actual battery reset, that is 100% fool proof
Didn't know about this ngl
MSI MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK WIFI
It is easier, but you aren't removing it physically so some room for error :/
Ok. Iāll look at trying these things.. Iām just worried about messing it up but Iām sure itās quite easy
Nah, nothing involved.
Iāll try it now.
Iāll just set all the wires up again.
Sounds good!
So at the moment I have nothing connected.
Shall I just press and hold that button now?
With nothing connects
Yes
Done that for 10s
Sounds good
Now try to connect all cables and power up the pc?
Power tripped instantly before I could even press the power button on the front of the PC. Just tripped at the main trip board for the house
Have you got an extension lead?
Yes. With surge protection
Is that the issue?
Yeah please use a new power plug
Super worried about doing this but if you think itās safe.
I have one.
I mean PCs are designed to plug straight into the wall, that's not a problem
it's just to rule out the extension cord being a problem with the amount of power a PC uses
Do I need to press and hold that little button again?
Probably not
I'd say just try turning it on
Ok.. I will try the now power cord now and straight into the wall.
It blow the mains power to the house again. As soon as I tried to turn on the master switch at the back. Didnāt manage to try the front power button.
Yes
Thats odd
Corsair PSUs are normally quite good
The original cable, yes
Sorry that was a stupid question
You have two cables?
I got one cable from you guys and the other is a similar ākettleā pc cable
If it's blowing the mains to the house then it's likely an issue with the psu and needs replacing
^^
Thatās what I am thinking
You will get it sorted next week, contact

I am sorry for the experience you are having - CPUK will sort it out well!
Contact support and they'll get back to you Monday when they're open
I mean Corsair has so much faith in their PSUs, it's like a 10 year warranty or something on those things (or certain models)
Ok. Thank you. Yeah, Iām sure we will.
Still happens.
Has to be VERY rare
electrical lottery
Just my luck it happens on a base raiding weekend hahaha
Hopefully you can recieve your system back working soon.
If you don't mind me asking, what kinda specs you running with?
GPU, CPU
One sec.
NVIDIA MSI RTX 4070 TI 12GB SUPRIM SE [GEFORCE RTX 4070 Ti SUPRIMSE 12G]
INTEL CORE 13TH GEN I9 13900K RETAIL - BX8071513900K
damn a pretty good system you got there
That is some lovely stuff!, hopefully you can get back to gaming soon
CPUK treats your system like its their own - ultimate care :))
It can be resolved and shipped next week I reckon
Trust me, you'll get it up and running again and it'll live a long and healthy life
Hope so.
I'm running the same PSU, always had Corsair power supplies so this kinda thing is very rare
Iāll just have to wait to see what they say on Monday. Is there a reference number or something that they can read this info or is it for me to explain again.
