Chances are the shipping number you've been given won't be active until DPD scans it into their systems

That consignment number will most likely only become active once DPD has collected it,

as that's when it becomes "active"

Honestly that side of thing I don't know, I've personally never had DPD collections, but times when I've had Amazon returns, it's Evri, and they just show up and take the item
