:one: Download the driver for your GPU from the manufacturer's website using the links below, but don't install them yet.
:two: Download the latest version of DDU by clicking the button below, clicking on the top post which is called "Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) VXX.X.X.X Released", and clicking ***Official Download Here*** in that post.
:three: Disconnect from the Internet by unplugging your ethernet cable or turning off WiFi in the bottom-right corner.
:four: Open the program you just downloaded, choose a location for DDU to be saved, then click Extract
:five: Open the Start Menu, click the power icon then hold Shift on your keyboard and click Restart. Once your PC has restarted, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart, and press 4 to load into safe mode.
:six: Find the folder you extracted DDU into and open Display Driver Uninstaller.
:seven: On the right side, select the type as GPU, and the brand as the manufacturer of your GPU. Then, click 'Clean and Restart'.
:eight: Once you have loaded back into Windows, install the GPU drivers you downloaded earlier. Once they have installed, connect back to the Internet.
Try that
if that fails try this and see if it crashes
:one: Open the link below, choose latest version on the left, then click the Orange Download button.
:two: Open up the file you just downloaded, accept the license agreement and continue through the setup.
:three: Uncheck 'Launch FurMark release notes', leave 'Launch FurMark' checked, and click Finish.
:four: Leave everything on the defaults, select 'GPU Stress Test', and allow that to run for two hours.
:exclamation: If your PC freezes or crashes while running the test, or the two hours are up, let us know.
thanks, i'll try those now
The first solution seems to have stabilised it, thank you very much
Update: it did not solve it. The crashes are still happening, but less frequently?
Ah. That is unfortunate hmm
Try those stress tests and tell me which one crashes it
Alternatively use event viewer and take a screenshot
And tell me your system specs
Okay on OCCT i tested both GPU and CPU -
GPU No errors detected, no crash
CPU 1000+ errors detected but no crash
Intel i7 - 13700KF [with "Pro Overclock 10% or more from cyberpower]
DDR5 64gb 5600Mhz Corsair Vengance
Nvidia 3080 MSI SUPRIM 10Gb
MSI PRO Z790-A
:tada: Congrats @old stirrup, you levelled up to 1! :tada:
Could it be my OC?
I doubt it but any case that doesn't sound good

Please ensure to include as much information about your query as possible, and ensure to include your order number if you require after-sales support.
Yeah I opened a ticket with them after offices closed
If they ask you for any information tell em what you did and what happened
It could be related to ram to be honest
Quad channel ddr5?
Is there 2 sticks or 4 sticks of ram?
I know the potential reason. The overclocking
The new chips doesn’t really require anymore overclocking
yeah quad channel
idk ram seems to be behaving
Okay now the entire pc is just randomly restarting on me lol
Can i undo the OC in the bios?
Sure you can but I don’t know how and what they did so best of contact support or let somebody else with more experience help you
The only method I have is CMOS clear. Basically resets the bios as default. Then you will have to enable XMP profile and that’s all
I might do that then, i’m comfortable enabling XMP
You won’t lose any data, just bios resets to default
Also enable resizable bar in BIOS
:one: Shut down your PC and unplug the power cord from the wall.
:two: Locate the CMOS battery (see the image below). On some motherboards, you may have to remove the graphics card in order to access it.
:three: Remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard by pressing down on the clip and pulling the battery out.
:four: Hold down the case power button for three seconds while your PC is unplugged.
:five: Install the CMOS battery back into the motherboard and plug the power cord back into the wall.
:six: Plug in and turn on your PC.
A video guide is also available below
Perfect thanks man. I’ll report back
Shouldn't be an issue
The ram might come into play with it though
With a CMOS reset should be fixing, if that’s not then probably is the ram
Looking at event viewer to see why it’s rebooting. It’s telling me it’s a Kernal power issue
Idk if this is helpful but i have analysed the dmp file from the baldurs gate crash
:tada: Congrats @old stirrup, you levelled up to 2! :tada:
This PC can not stay turned on anymore. Just restarts after 2 minutes of runtime constantly
How has the entire things bricked itself in like 2 days
No idea but things can happen
had a snoop around this convo and I think I might be having the same issue? 👀 black screen on both monitors, the fans speed up and I have to manually restart the PC, it's only a few months old. did you manage to find a fix or get some answers? 🤞
These things might be unrelated but you can give some more information and try what I have guided
tried the first thing a week or so ago and it didn't work, haven't done the stress test but I will tomorrow 😄 we both have similar specs, but I have the 4080 card. I also suspected it might be the overclocking so I may remove that tomorrow also
Same CPU?
Yep i7-13700KF
Sounds like a slightly different issue to mine
You can do the same I suggested to him
At this point my pc is just unusable. Will just await to hear back from my support ticket
Thanks for the help though guys
Yeah best of leaving it, it can be a PSU issue
The weird part is the restarting thing only happened after i started these troubleshooting steps - which makes 0 sense
That does make no sense
Yeah it looks like PSU issue
What’s your PSU?
Corsair RM1000e
It only seems to restart if i try to do anything taxing on the computer
I can sit here and type on discord fine, but launching a game will result in a restart, likewise playing a video on youtube can trigger a restart
and if i disable a bunch of processes i seem to get a bit longer before it restarts itself too
Yeah it seems to be PSU issue, once you get a demand task it can’t produce the power and automatically shut down to safe components
I won’t recommend using your PC until Tuesday, I know can be a bit frustrating but well technology is tricky sometimes
I’d suggest if you have spare money to go for a platinum one the HX1000i
but i'm never drawing anything close to 1000W anyway
Again I can be wrong, best of let support give you the advice
Explain to them on Tuesday everything and they will be able to help very quickly
I have 1200W on my PC even tho never going to use that much but better to be there and safe
Huh
A gold unit is fine the rm1000e is brilliant
You don't need a hx1000
- it's atx3.0
Yeah i’m not upgrading my psu lol. It this unit is defective then that’s a separate issue to the quality
:tada: Congrats @old stirrup, you levelled up to 3! :tada:
